Liberals and the Violence Card
The Wall Street Journal ^ | 04-23-10 | RUSH LIMBAUGH

Conservative protest is motivated by a love of what America stands for.

The latest liberal meme is to equate skepticism of the Obama administration with a tendency toward violence. That takes me back 15 years ago to the time President Bill Clinton accused "loud and angry voices" on the airwaves (i.e., radio talk-show hosts like me) of having incited Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh. What self-serving nonsense. Liberals are perfectly comfortable with antigovernment protest when they're not in power.

From the halls of the Ivy League to the halls of Congress, from the antiwar protests during the Vietnam War and the war in Iraq to the anticapitalist protests during International Monetary Fund and World Bank meetings, we're used to seeing leftist malcontents take to the streets. Sometimes they're violent, breaking shop windows with bricks and throwing rocks at police. Sometimes there are arrests. Not all leftists are violent, of course. But most are angry. It's in their DNA. They view the culture as corrupt and capitalism as unjust.

All of the Government Media currently calling the Tea Party Movement Nazi’s and dangerous (this is really going on full boar in the colleges) is ginnin’ folks up to commit violent acts against tea party members, and once violence breaks out it will be blamed on the Tea Party folks, and then you will see rampant murder of disidents and hunting down of those loyal to the constitution, it’s almost over, America is about to die ...

As they used to say in Russia, keep your rose bushes well oiled (or something to that effect).

Are you old enough to remember the "student" riots during the late 60s? The Weathermen? The SDS? The Black Panthers? Yippies? Watts? The '68 Democratic convention in Chicago? In a more modern vein, there was Crown Heights, Rodney King, "Devil's Night" in Detroit, the Unabomber, Colin Ferguson, etc..

What two things do all those have in common? 1) Violence. 2) Left-wing ideologies.

Cite any such examples of right-wing ideology motivating violence during that same period. 1) Timothy McVeigh (which the Right doesn't claim as its own). 2) ??????

Thanks for posting this. Rush has been on huge roll all week. I imagine BO and his pals wish Bill Clinton would shut up and go away. Rush has been on fire since Der-Slick-Meister tried to do his old spin doctor dance routine of shifting blame to make himself look better. It has blown up in Slick Willie's face leaving a bigger stain on him than he did on Monica's dress.(puns intended) But what can you expect from a loser like Bill Clinton who was impeached and disbarred for lying under oath.
