These are absolutely the very best pictures that I've yet seen of this volcano and the eruptions. Lots of great images of the surrounding farms and landscape, too.

Fantastic picture.
Too bad that Iceland can’t get royalties for all of these images. They’re some of the best I’ve seen in a long time.

Incredible - and very moving - regardless of the strides man makes, there are some thing that cannot be conquered.
Thanks for posting! Glad I didn't miss these beautiful pictures.

With all that carbon located in such a small geographical area, you would figure that that would produce an abnormally high local hot spot. That is if there was any truth to the idea that carbon creates a “GreenHouse Effect”.

Absolutely stunning!!
You’d think the volcano had just shut down the way the ADHD news media stopped talking about it. I guess life is just hunky dory now for Icelanders?

Thanks for sharing and I learned something!
Lightning can happen as a result of a volcanic eruption. As the hot ash rises through the cooler atmosphere, transfer of charge occurs. This excess of electrons within the cloud makes it act like a capacitor, and should the conditions be correct, huge electrical discharges may be observed as bolts of lightning during volcanic eruptions.
