Abbas to Obama: Impose Mideast peace solution (Abbas demands Obama gives him Jerusalem)

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas urged the Obama administration on Saturday to impose a solution to the Middle East conflict that would give his people an independent state.

"Mr. President [Barack Obama] and members of the American administration, since you believe in this [an independent Palestinian state], it is your duty to take steps toward a solution and to impose this solution," Abbas said in a speech.

Abbas made the remarks to members of his Fatah party in the West Bank city of Ramallah a day after talks there with Obama's Middle East envoy. George Mitchell is in the region to try to revive peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians.

"We've asked them [the Obama administration] more than once: 'Impose a solution,'" Abbas said.

Abbas also rejected the establishment of a Palestinian state within temporary borders, an idea he said was recently proposed for restarting peace talks.

Obama is embarrassed that the USofA has “won” any battles or wars or is a “super” power among equals.

Obama, unless he is a hypocrite, [but I digress], will not use any “power” the USofA has to do anything for any other Country or even a NON Country.

Before there was an Israel, there was an Egypt and a Jordan. Afterward, out of thin air, the Palestinian people appeared.

Palestinians can go back to Egypt and Jordan.

Everything I've been researching personally on Obama and his, and those around him, world view over the last year says that he would very well do just that.

One comment I saw on him said, "Obama’s popularity is of Michael Jackson’s kind: he is an ethnic star. Fans scream just to see him, and no wise words are expected in return."

There is a lot of truth to that. Obama, especially to his supporters, is an ethnic star; for those who voted for him because of "Obamamania" and the GOP failed to field a viable candidate, he was a novelty—who is getting real old real fast, even as we speak.

I think he knows this deep down. I don't think he will sit still for it, therefore the pressure is on him more than other Presidents to "perform" and act "boldly." Health care (until the Supreme Court and the states opposing it shoot it down) gave him a little taste. "Solving" Middle East peace has got to be more appealing to his ego than either Bush or Clinton.

Abbas just demanded Obama "impose" a solution. I think that shyster Abbas and the Arab world are leading Obama right to where he wants to go.
