Obama's credibility crisis
The Washington Examiner ^ | April 25, 2010 | Editorial

Hard on the heels of that shocking Pew Research Center survey finding that four out of five Americans don't trust government comes a blitz of new revelations about the Obama administration that amount to a full-fledged credibility crisis. The latest disclosures are especially damaging because they concern President Obama's possible misrepresentation of his relationships with former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich and convicted felon Tony Rezko, his administration's misleading statements about Obamacare costs, and questions about improper manipulation of government-owned General Motors and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The Blagojevich revelations were no less serious for being accidental. Blagojevich's defense attorneys filed a federal court motion to subpoena Obama concerning charges that the former governor tried to sell the U.S. Senate seat formerly occupied by the chief executive. Improper formatting of the heavily redacted public version of the motion contained evidence that Obama spoke to Blagojevich about the Senate appointment a week before telling White House reporters that he had not done so. The document also revealed that federal prosecutors are withholding from Blagojevich's attorneys documents describing what Obama told investigators about conversations with Rezko on the appointment or his financial ties to the Chicago developer who was one of his key fundraisers.

Don’t worry, O - the NYT still has your back. Nobody but us right wing extremists will ever hear about this.

It is wrong to use the words "credibility" and "Obama"
in the same sentence.

Obama is a liar, but beloved, protected, and prayed to, by the MSM.

"...they concern President Obama's possible misrepresentation of his relationships with former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich and convicted felon Tony Rezko,...and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, Larry Walsh, Andy Stern......the list is long and shadowy.

Obama's credibility crisis

Is it even possible to have a crisis about something that doesn't exist?

One thing is sure. The press will not get the opportunity to question him about these issues (not that they would) since he doesn’t hold news conferences

The Republicans won’t impeach Obama after the Clinton fiasco of a few years ago. If they try the Democrat spin machine and mainstream medial will brand them and the party as racists. If Republican’s didn’t have the courage to impeach and convict Clinton for giving the Chinese technology secrets in exchange for hidden campaign contributions there is no way they would take on the first black president with a small majority in the House and likely not a majority in the Senate.

If the press were even handed it might fly. With the press of today under the control of the government and Democrat party an impeachment of Obama would be a public relations and political disaster.

Just once, just once, I’d like to see somebody call out this serial liar to his face. You’d likely see him erupt and the nation would finally get to see the moron they elected.

the link to the Pew page study, with lots of interesting info.

“For example, 43% of Republicans say the federal government presents a major threat to their personal freedom, as do 50% of independents who lean Republican and fully 57% of those who agree with the Tea Party movement. That compares with just 18% of Democrats, 21% of independents who lean Democratic and just 9% of those who disagree with the Tea Party movement.”

Sure; just like Patrick Fitzgerald could successfully prosecute Scooter Libby for lying about a crime that was not committed.

Wait a minute! Wait just a dang minute!!

Are they trying to say that Obama has misled, lied, and engaged in thuggish Chicago political corruption???

Wow. Who could have seen that coming?

Good luck finding any prosecutors or Republicans with the balls to call him to terms for it.

Yep, and why no coverage of this on today’s talk show lineup?

And even more interestingly, why is there such a lukewarm Freeper reaction to the fact that this appears to have deep-sixed in the last 48 houts?

Can it be that most—even Freepers— really do not even know what was revealed (not by MSM , but other news outlets, Fox included —FOR A WHILE...Drudge, but has now removed his link) on Thursday/Friday?

Still, tens of millions would follow him over a cliff like the ones enchanted with the Pied Piper of long ago.
