Today is the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, a bogus celebration of the environment and the green movement. Of course the liberal mainstream news media has been touting Earth Day for weeks.
Cable networks such as Nickelodeon and MSNBC have been busy promoting Earth Day television specials and constantly airing commercials with celebrities preaching environmental messages.
One of the central messages is that Americans use too much energy and have too much of a carbon footprint. Corporate giants like Entergy have tried to capitalize on the environmental hysteria by offering programs to match and even double the carbon credits purchased by customers.
The purveyors of this nonsense hope that Americans will felt guilt for the amount of energy usage and feel compelled to utilize alternative sources of energy or buy carbon credits. This whole movement is just a feel good effort led by liberals who have succeeded in brainwashing Hollywood and the media networks.
Personally, I will not be purchasing any carbon credits or abandoning the use of fossil fuels. I have no problem with anyone conserving resources, recycling or exploring options like solar energy. However, I am offended by the obnoxious media push and the non-stop green hysteria.
This is being promoted by many people who see Mother Earth as their God and have a spiritual connection with nature. It is the perfect way for hippies of the 1960s to fit into to todays world. In fact, the entire Earth Day holiday was created by a hippie, Ira Samuel Einhorn. The problem with Mr. Einhorn is that he is a brutal murderer who is also known as the Unicorn Killer. Currently, Einhorn is celebrating Earth Day in prison, where he is serving a life sentence for the murder of his former girlfriend, Holly Maddux.
Einhorn was a radical activist, an anti-war demonstrator and a friend of renowned liberals such as Abbie Hoffman and Jerry Rubin. At the first Earth Day celebration in 1970, Einhorn was the Master of Ceremonies and the center of attention. The event was televised worldwide to an audience of millions.
It is worthwhile to note that it was established by a murderer, who was using the event for self promotion and ego fulfillment. It was part of the counter culture movement of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Today, it is amazing that an event with such a notorious past and a despicable founder is now viewed as mainstream and respectable.
In the last year, we have seen Climategate and the Copenhagen conference debacle and the EPA of the Obama administration issuing a ruling that preposterously claims carbon dioxide is dangerous. This has all led up to what we are witnessing today, the Earth Day hysteria.
Fortunately, global warming fanatics are facing more skepticism from the American public. A recent Gallup poll showed that 48 percent of Americans believe the global warming claims are exaggerated. Back in 1997, only 31 percent of Americans were skeptical of these global warming claims.
As more and more people understand what is happening with global warming hysteria, they are skeptical of the Earth Day propaganda as well.
Proponents want to pass a global warming tax and penalize Americans for having too much of a carbon footprint. Skeptics accurately realize that this only harms our economy and millions of Americans who are already suffering from a horrible economy.
In the meantime, the worst offenders like China and India are not following this green agenda. They are too busy growing their economies and taking American jobs.
You know what leaders of those countries are doing today, on the 40th anniversary of Earth Day? Laughing at us!
Oaith day, nah, it’s Lenin’s birthday!
The Green party of Europe is LEFT - not quite commie, but close enuf to kiss.
Earth day is on Lenins birthday for a reason - watermelons everywhere rejoice.
Earth day is hedonistic crap and anti God. It will be banned.
When someone says Happy Erth day to me I usually say Happy Lenin’s birthday back to them. I don’t think most know who I’m talking about?
Ira Einhorn ping.
Insufficient reference to Arlen Specter, but a good article nonetheless.

Poor girl. He certainly didn’t deserve her.
Some quick research suggests that Senator Gaylord Nelson from Wisconsin is more widely accredited with founding Earth Day. Conservatism is such a superior position to be argued for in honest debate as opposed to progressivism, we should not want to undermine our advantage with this kind of mistake.
Commie earth day bump....
“...is that Americans use too much energy and have too much of a carbon footprint.”
Yess....this is how Americans collectively have the ability to get in the way of those who would enslave their people by interfering with our access to cheap energy.
