This is a good lesson for all of us. These politicians have to be better scrutinized. We need a research group who knows how to go back throught their record & give everyone the facts. It's not laziness on the part of the voters...Some just don't know how to delve into this kind of research.
I'm starting to believe in letting the marxists go ahead and kick off a revolt, and pray we can save the nation that way.

We’ve had people like Hannity and Laura Ingraham praising Rubio to high heaven, and both of those oppose amnesty. I wonder if either of them bothered to investigate his record on the illegal immigration issue in general?

Folks here are jumping to conclusions. This is really a poor choice of words on his part. Rubio would still stand up to Obama on a lot of important issues. Crist would never do such a thing.
I know Crist is horrible but Rubio is pro-amnesty and Mel Martinez 2. A Bush puppet like Mel was. I do not want either one but Rubio will not get money or my vote.

Rubio has always been a question mark on illegals. There was a flash-in-the-pan report just after the end of last year’s Florida Legislative session which attributed to Rubio a comment in favor of driver’s licenses for illegals. Nothing on this specific subject has surfaced but you may recall Jeb Bush came out for the same issue towards the end of his last adminstration. That doesn’t justify it but it seems Florida Republicans are not exactly solid on the total immigration issue. Rubio seems like a straight shooter and he walks a very solid conservative line. Send him emails stating your disatisfaction with his statement. He seems more inclined to listen than I’d expect of Crist.
With your mindset about Crist - Florida would be better off if you just stay home & don't bother to vote at all!

I am both amazed and disgusted. Certainly Rubio, born of Cuban parents, had to have known he would be asked about AZ’s new law. It was incumbent upon him to read the legislation before he offered his opinion!
He has plenty of time to recover, but this mistake (if it is a mistake) was completely unnecessary.

I am suspicious of ANYTHING the MSM reports about Rubio. It is easy to take stuff out of context or skip a key quote.
I have seen him speak in person a number of times and he never struck me as a RINO.
