Yes It does suck that both Crist and Rubio are open border people. Most Republicans are. Can’t do anything about Rubio on this because otherwise Crist is worse. Shame really is a Shame.

This is just sickening... I thought Rubio knew better. This is going to hurt him with voters, as well it should. What is wrong with some of these republicans?! Arizona is simply enforcing the existing federal laws against ILLEGAL immigration!

The first job of a politician is to get elected, end of story. They craft and target their message based on the constituency. In this case, given the large and somewhat volatile Hispanic population, Rubio is doing what his handlers say is the best course.

That’s the reality, like it or not.

Personally I prefer a statesman to a politician any day.

Mel Amnesty Martinez was a Bush puppet. Mel bombed out and Rubio is Mel Martinez 2. Crist sucks but Rubio is a fake who just dropped his mask.

Rubio will push for amnesty too. All Crist has to do is renounce Obama, vow to NEVER vote for any amnesty and promise to be a real Republican and he may have a shot.

I agree that if Crist came out in favor of this immigration bill then it would re-energize his campaign. Looks like all bets are off now on who to support eh? Could be just two rinos. If that were the case, Rubio then. He won’t support another stimulus bill. But this does derail Rubio.

Jeb Bush criticized the Arizona immigration bill today. Must be something in the water in Florida.

Rubio lost my vote. He is Mel AMNESTY Martinez 2. Another Bush put up job. The Bushes pushed Bill McCollum (a good man) aside for Martinez to run.

Why did Mel quit? Connections to drug cartels? We were never told. Mel was big on amnesty.

If Crist comes out vowing to never vote for amnesty - I will vote for him. I no longer trust Rubbio - he is a Bush/amnesty puppet.

I wish he’d have defended the law and clarified that there is no danger of someone being stopped just because of their ethnicity. We have harsher laws regarding seatbelt usuage in some states. I don’t see Rubio’s language as being off base it just plays to the left unecessarily. We conservatives need to always set up and reinforce the conditions of the game not just respond to inaccurate leftist posturing as if is an accurate assessment of things.

Aside from what I said in my other post, Rubio is also playing to his voters, so he’s a politician first and a thinker second. He left himself wiggle room, because he has not read AZ’s legislation, but he should have just said “I haven’t read the legislation yet.”

Sheeesh.

What makes me angry about this is its sloppiness. He knows this is a very significant issue and that he will certainly be asked about it. Rather than inform himself, which is very, very easy, he says things like “people can be pulled over if the police suspect they don’t have their papers.” That is flat out wrong.

A big problem in DC is the intellectual laziness and sloppiness of the elected representatives, most of whom just work off of talking points. I am really not happy to think he may be cut from the same cloth.

I know Rubio will back amnesty. He is Mel Martinez 2. Crist might not. They both suck but I will probably back Crist now.

Rubio almost fooled me but he is a Bush puppet like Mel Martinez. He Mel - why did you quit so mysteriously? Were you and Wexler involved in drug cartels?

I don’t understand why they don’t just make that difference clear. The American people have no problem understanding the difference in polling I’ve seen.

You do have a good point and anyone who backs amnesty is not worth the time or the effort to support.

You’re absolutely right, the Bush family are one-world-order proponents... today, Jeb Bush also came out against the Arizona bill.
