Likely nothing. I live in an area with very hard scale water. My water heater and pipes will likely be toast soon. I'm not so much worried about the residue on the 4" pipes leading out as I am the 1/2" pipes leading in.
Be aware of the bigest seller a company named TSP.
Their product sold in every hardware and home improvement store looks similar to the genuine article but has no phosphate in it!
Don’t buy TSP, buy Tri Sodium Phosphate!
Is that the little place they make for JetDry or other similar products?

It really does work!
It does - I lived most of my life in very hard water areas (till the last 5 years or so), and the hard water residue builds up especially on the heater coils in the hot water heater. Lots of people replace the whole water heater when they may be able to get by another 5 years with just replacing the elements.
Over time, though, it does coat everything. Dang low-flow faucets get down to just a trickle in a few years, so you know it's building up in the new smaller diameter water lines...
Buy boxes and boxes of TSP (tri-sodium-phosphate) at Home Depot, Lowes, local hardware stores.
I don’t know how to mix it with non-phosphate products, but that’s the phosphate that will soon be missing from damned near everything.
I noticed the same thing. It was always printed very prominently on the front. Not now.

Try adding a rinse agent, it helps.

Damn - dishwasher soap used as laundry detergent was my secret for keeping whites white.
Two tips; Run the hot water before you start your dish washer and a splash of white vinegar before you start, buy it buy the gallon.
I did check at Home Depot tonight. There still is one brand of true TSP there (for now), but all the others are TSP substitute. I don’t know if the substitute products would do any good in the dishwasher nor if they would be safe.
I wonder if pouring white vinegar in when it’s rinsing, or in a little rinse box or something (I’m not used to dishwashers) would help. I have very hard water and I use it for a lot of cleaning purposes to avoid soap scum, even using in rinse water when washing hair.

I buy more white vinegar when I’m down to only 5 gallons on hand.
