Government is only inherently bad when it is run by people who are inherently bad.

Yeah it’s bad until 2012 anyway.

“Here is another good one:

“I love the Union and the Constitution, but I would rather leave the Union with the Constitution than remain in the Union without it.”

— Jefferson Davis, Pres, CSA”

You are talking to a Southerner, born and bred, and I know exactly what you mean. :)

Back in the day, De Gaulle of France said, “I AM FRANCE” (= THE PEOPLE OF FRANCE, in his mind).

Obama is saying, “I AM THE UNITED STATES” (= THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES, in his mind).

This is not about polls. He knows the polls (public opinion) are against him. He is saying that HE WON, therefore, he is acting for the people even if they despise his actions.

***But of course, when Bush acted, the people had every right to get all worked up and Bush should not have done anything as a result.***

This is license for ANYTHING in Obama’s mind. Also Pelosi. She kept stating over and over how she was going to get healthcare passed “FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE”.

I know the little dictator has never heard of

“I Have Sworn Upon the Altar of God eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man.”

Need I say more?

Shove it Hussein.

What is troubling is YOUR anti-Constitutional rhetoric. People ‘have made enough money’ at some point? Who the HELL are you to tell people how much success is ENOUGH?

It’ll be a great day in our Republic when your pathetic Alinsky-ite butt is out of office: January 20, 2013 CANNOT come soon enough.

Anti-DumBO is not anti-government.

And what business do you have going to a university to complain?

And what does it say about any institution of "higher learning" that would invite that scoundrel there to speak???

Some folks should vote with their pocketbooks and refuse to send their children to any of these sewers that would invite that kind of ilk to the campus. And they should let the school know exactly why in the loudest terms possible.

Politicians, including “republicans”, have been spouting the democracy line for decades. Too many politicians and too many voters resent the restraints of the Constitution. If we ever allow a constitutional convention this Nation is toast!

He told graduates at the University of Michigan that people who take
that line of attack seem to forget that in a democracy,
“government is us.”

Well President Obama...
that all depends on YOUR WARPED definition of what “us” “is”.

President Obama said Saturday he's troubled by the angry rhetoric of those who are trying to make the case that government is "inherently bad."

******

Poor Obama. So troubled.

If Obama is so troubled, then that makes two of us.

You see, I too am troubled. I am troubled by President Obama's day after day refusal to allow Hawaii government officials to release his $12 long form birth certificate to the public and the media so that we can finally see the doctor's name and the hospital name on Obama's long form birth certificate.

If Obama would allow Hawaii officials to release his long form birth certificate, that might go a long way to lessen and soften the "angry rhetoric" of those of us who are beginning to distrust government and who are starting to think that government is "bad."

So, Obama. Tell Hawaii officials to release your $12 long form birth certificate to the public and the media and help reduce the anger and distrust we voters have against "bad" government.

Poor Obama. So troubled. So evasive. So devious.

“government is us.”

What is 0's definition of us?

Allow me to supply an old Canadianism: "He and his friends..."

The only thing that really 'troubles' Obama is when people (that would be the American taxpayers) disagree with his mafia style marxist actions that for all intent and purposes are steadily shredding the United States Constitution.

That and an annoying glare on the teleprompter really tend to make him have a bad day.

“If you’re a regular Glenn Beck listener, then check out the Huffington Post sometimes.”

Leftists have become so desperate. They know their precious ideology is doomed now that people have access to factual information and honest analysis. All they’re left with is “pay no attention to that man behind the curtain”.

And can you even imagine Obama ever suggesting the reverse: If you’re a regular Huffington Post reader, then check out the Glenn Beck Show sometimes.

I really hate that half-white socialist bastard.

Factually correct in all points.
