So they found the builder’s plaque revealing the Ark’s registration name was the SS Minnow? That explains a lot.
Nobody makes up the kinds of big stories you read in the bible...
I thought that they already discovered the ark. How many arks did Noah build?
So true - but I still take the "findings" with grain of salt. It seems that the Ark has been "found" every two years or so for a while.
Would love to discover they really have found at least something that could be it...
It would be strange were you not to find other boat remains in mountains from the flood. Many nations retain stories of Noah and the ark; Greco-Roman and Chinese literature describe handfuls of people and animals surviving here and there on high places or anything which could float for most of a year. The story of Noah is true; the idea that nothing survived outside of the ark is problematical.
This will be simple to debunk if it IS a hoax. I don’t see how anybody could have hoped to profit from a hoax of this sort, too easy to debunk, not enough money in it one way or other.
Every 2 or 3 years somebody finds “Noah’s Ark” on Mt. Ararat.
People tried to fly every two or three years prior to KittyHawk...

Actually, no. What if the wood is dated at 4800-5000 yr old? If it is not the Ark and is a fraud, it’s a fraud built many hundreds of years ago, as there is no record of its construction. So, how would someone (actually many people) find enough wood all dated the same at several thousand years old, where they have no way to date the wood they find? If all the wood dates as being 5000 yr old, there would be no way to explain its construction unless it was built 5000 yr ago. If it was built 5000yr ago, there is no way to explain what it’s doing at the 13000’ level on the side of a mountain.
So, if the wood all dates as being this old.....

I just found out my sister knows one of the scientist who explored inside the ship, and that the structure being shown has been found some time ago but not by Chinese explorers, and it’s just now hitting the mainstream news when she learned the same months ago right from the source. She also said the what is being shown in the media is just part of what they found, and that the ship (and he says it most definitely is a ship) is in two separate sections as if broken in half.
I called my sister last night and learned a little more than what she wrote in the e-mail to me. Were going to talk more later today when we see each other at a family gathering.

If it is a fraud, I sure would like to know how they got lava to cover part of it.

Mount Ararat was most notably Volcanically active around 3000 b.c. and a few times since. You will notice the lava flow covering the wooden beams in some places and actually ending the beams as they burnt through them in attached picture (left center). Hard to plant something like this. Either this is Noah’s Ark or an old man-made structure
You never saw the commercials for Noah’s Ark Emporium?
Really? Looks like that email from that man is false and he sounds like he may be jealous or something. I doubt very much that this is a hoax with all of the people involved in this and a Dr. and other Turkish folks. Looks like they finally found it!
