The Sacramento Bee ^ | 5/1/2010 | Gina Kim

Hundreds descended on the state Capitol Saturday to decry an Arizona law they believe is inherently racist, and to draw attention to the contributions of immigrants on May Day.

Carrying Mexican and American flags, blowing whistles, and erupting in choruses of "Si Se Puede," the crowd rallied around a handful of speakers and then marched around the Capitol grounds.

The annual event was buoyed by the April 23 signing of the Arizona law ...

The sign "Today We March - Tomorrow We Vote" says it all. With regard to this, there is NO acceptable solution but deportation back to their motherland. It is an affront to the dignity, hard work, perserverence and assimilation of LEGAL IMMIGRANTS past and present in this country as well as to natural born American citizens.

They are not immigrants, migrant workers, or the kind of people that made this country what it is. They are criminals, cheaters and slackers and a social and financial liability to this country. GO HOME ILLEGALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Hey, it was a Saturday. "Protesting" is a whole lot more fun when you're given one of your typical workdays off, paid.

This morning on ESPN's The Sports Reporters, Mike Lupica said Bud Selig the MLB commissioner is thinking of pulling the 2011 World Series out of AZ due to making profiling legal,. You can read Lupica's column at

I wonder how Selig would react if hundreds of people without tickets walked into one of his stadiums.

Sports fans should be sending Mr. Selig a lesson in the constitution and the law — in writing.

If the protesters are so unhappy, why don’t they just go home?

Extreme wide angle shot from close in to make the small gathering appear large.

The most outstanding fact about the protests yesterday was the small number of people who came out.

To paraphrase the old Cecil B. DeMille come on . . . Starring a cast of dozens. LOL

They are losing ground rapidly. The more they do dumb stuff like this the quicker they bury their cause. I know that my neighbor, who is usually very pro-illegals, drove past the capitol yesterday and came home just furious. He was shook up about the sheriff being shot with an AK47 and then he saw the illegals making demands and he’s firmly on the side of the Arizona law now.

I remember reading something similar years ago - "A cast of thousands: Herman Thousands, George Thousands, Jane Thousands", etc.

It is also an affront to those of us who were born here- our parents were born here- and our grandparents were born here.

We have atteneded school- learned skills- worked hard all of our lives. We have not been in jail for any reason. We have not sucked at the public teat of health care. We have not hired illegals to work our businesses.

We are being ground into bits by those who refuse to come here legally—LEARN ENGLISH—work hard and NOT SEND 90% of their paychecks back to Mexico—etc.

I am sick & tired of being paimted as being racist over t6his topic. They broke to law to be here. End of story.

They have no right to my tax paid funds that support schools- hospitals-jails-sheriff- or anything else.

Next that goofy Eleanor Clift crowd will tell me it is MY responsibility to buy more food and let them into my house & my refrigerator.

Then the ammo comes out and the shooting starts.

Saw Eleanor Clift on PBS this AM. She sure must live inside an Ivory Tower.

She is totally clueless.

At least she could spend some time watching the night time border crossings with special binocular glasses. Then she can tell us all how every ILLEGAL INRTUDER that is coming here is eagerly & willingly learning English. She is dead wrong.

Maybe she can spend some time explaining her position to the family of rancher Robert Krentz.

LOL. I posted the following on another thread by Kristinn.

"Police officials estimated about 50,000 demonstrators (including 40,000 media and paid activists from SEIU) marched through downtown Los Angeles to demand immigration reform and to protest Arizona's tough new law against illegal immigrants.

Fix it. When satire and reality become one in the same."

I count about 80 in the crowd.

There is no energy in the anti-enforcement issue. It is entirely media drive, and the American people are (finally!) on to the Leftist Media.

A lot of people are out of work and have no patience for the illegals.
