Oh it was across the board. Check out RMS exchange traded fund. Was a $40 or so ETF and went to .16 cents. A lot of ETFs did that and probably more than a few stocks.

I wish I had had a 100,000 share buy on Accenture at 1.2 pennys at 2:47 pm.

So how much of that scare was robots gone wild and how much was sensible worry from flesh and blood investors?

And how much today will be sensible worry about robots gone wild? It's not like people have their life savings invested in this thing or anything.

There, for a brief moment, I had the opportunity to buy at $0.01. I wonder how many SEC guys I’d have camped outside my door right now if I had... (sob!)

there was a report that the NASDAQ was cancelling all orders between 240 PM and 300 PM that showed a 40% drop in price. Accenture trades on the NYSE, does anyone know if they are doing the same cancellations?

I hope so, that way I won’t regret putting down 1000 bucks for 100,000, only to be 4 million bucks richer in one hour. I wonder if anyone got away with doing that?

I certainly understand why people would buy ACN at 1 cent.

Help me understand why someone would sell ACN for 1 cent.

Any trades at that price will be null. They are cancelling all trades from 2:40 to 3:00 pm. I am wondering if it wasn’t a dry run on a cyber attack.

I really don’t like Accenture. They make big deals on big projects with big stupid clients and then bring their lawyers out when the clients don’t like Accenture’s crappy work. Bunch of would be hard guys that work their 20 somethings to death.

I wish I’d bought a few thousand shares at a penny. Maybe I’ll put limit orders all over the place as fractions of the current price of various stocks just in case this happens again.
