Vladimir Putin snubs Britain and US over VE Day celebrations (Biden Not Invited)
Guardian ^ | May 7, 2010 | Luke Harding

Vladimir Putin has snubbed both the Prince of Wales and the US vice-president, Joe Biden, by refusing to allow them to attend a parade in Red Square marking the 65th anniversary of the end of the second world war, the Guardian has learned.

................................................

Putin, Russia's prime minister, also snubbed Biden, who had planned to go to Moscow and has been left kicking his heels in Brussels. Biden is close to Mikheil Saakashvili, Georgia's president. During the 2008 Russian-Georgia war Putin famously threatened Saakashvili, pledging to "hang him by the balls".

Most of me enjoys Putin once again poking his thumb at Zero.

I think the countries that actually won the war should be gracious about staying away from the goose-steppers, allow Putin to enjoy his little party, maybe send him a little memento of the Hitler-Stalin pact

and lay a wreath on Patton’s grave

Well, why are US troops taking part in the VE parade in Moscow then? I don’t think they should be there to begin with, but if the VP is denied attendance, the US troops shouldn't participate.

Hussein has done a great job “resetting” American-Russian relations. They are pissing in his boot and he calls it rain.

Lucky for this glad handing simple POS that the Little League World series is coming up in a few months.

What a country, a blue lipped communist from Kenya as POTUS and a two bit hair plug sporting imbecile as VPOTUS.

It’s not a snub. We’ve never been there before, and we don’t care about it now (both US and UK).

Who wrote this nonsense? Ah, the Guardian.

Putin has no respect for Zero or his people. He views them as children.

Putin has no respect for Zero or his people.

Especially when those children throw stones. Biden is not particularly known for his diplomacy skills and careful choice of words. He positioned himself as friend of Saakashvili and enemy of Putin. So Putin sent him a little message - nothing drastic or bloody, mind you, just a hint. Hopefully someone in VP's office is bright enough to decode it and explain to Biden.

We should ask for all those Studebaker trucks and Airacobra's back. They came in handy to the hard-pressed Red Army.

Actually Russia did help win the war and at a frightful cost.

A cost they can lay at the feet of the Communist Party and Stalin. Old Joe tried to knife the West in the back and got a German boot up his ass for his troubles.

Was watching Russian Television (RT) while in Vegas earlier this week. The revisionist history covering WWII and the Soviet "liberation" of eastern europe was sickening. All done in preparation for the victory celebration. A co-worker of mine from Poland told me about her Grandfather, a Polish Officer, being executed at Katyn. The Russians took whatever the Germans didn't.

My Grandfather, part of the 26th Infantry, 101st Engineers said in some ways he hated the Russians as much or more than the Germans, especially seeing their behavior towards the local population in Austria. He said they were savages, animal like.

The nice thing about the Russians is they do not have a muslim running their country.

Sadly the idiots here keep watching TV and ALL the networks including Fox/Saudia support him. The serfs will give away their liberty for TV and ball games.

Actually Russia did help win the war and at a frightful cost.

Mostly due to Stalin's incompetence, and more Ukrainians died than Russians.

It is a snub against the United States. If this had been President Bush, you would be furious.

A decade of wartime enforced political propaganda plus six more of socialist inspired groupthink says your very savvy assesment will not go unchallenged.

Russia (or more accurately the USSR) actually made the largest single contribution to victory in Europe, both in terms of sacrifice and in terms of the numbers of Axis forces engaged and defeated.....

Doesn’t fly.
Revisionism isn’t acceptable whether it is a Civil War thread or a WWII thread.
Russia was happy to team up with Germany-ask Poland and Finland.
In the end they murdered far more than the Germans. (You can argue they had more time. That is a valid take.)

Russia helped Russia and used anyone else to achieve their aims. They didn’t help anyone but themselves. They haven’t changed, just their economic policy.
