Scissors were used to kill FIU athlete, witness says
Miami Herald ^ | May 8, 2010 | DAVID OVALLE

As the scrum unfolded outside the Florida International University recreation center, accused killer Quentin Wyche broke away, hustling back to the building, witnesses told police.

``Then he kind of stopped in front of where I was and took out like -- took his backpack off and took out a pair of scissors from the backpack,'' witness Chidinma Orj told Miami-Dade police in newly released court documents.

Wyche, she told police, tried frantically to break apart the eight-inch scissors. ``He was just saying stuff like, I'm a get him'' she recalled.

I can’t sort through the pidgin-english the witnesses are using.

Unfortunately, that seems to be the dominant DNA in that group...which has a 70% illegitimacy rate.

Churches should get working on these losers and help them turn their lives around. Unfortunately, the new model is that this is cool and it’s all because they hate George Bush and therefore whatever horrible things they do are just fine with the press. I saw a headline in my local paper about crime in Jacksonville, FL (one of the highest black on black murder rates in the country): “Murder is the killer of most young blacks.”

Somebody tell me who “urder” is when he’s at home. Murder is another young black.

Cookies.

Investigators believe Wyche had thrown cookies at Berry's girlfriend, sparking the deadly argument.

“What is lacrosse anyway?

Lacrosse is a sport played disproportionately by “over-privileged” white boys, especially at elite prep schools and universities. For this reason, we can expect the MSM to go bonkers whenever a white lacrosse player engages in or is alleged to engage in criminal conduct. Scrutiny is especially intense when the victim (real or alleged) is black. Black-on-black killings involving football players? Not so much.

“Time to outlaw scissors.

Well, let’s not be hasty. A much more sensible “middle ground” would be to have all scissor owners register their weapons with the government, which is adept at distinguishing between owners who pose a threat to society and those who are not. That way, this kind of thing will never happen again, ever, not once, ever. And Americans will be grateful their government has once again protected them against scary risks that they are otherwise helpless against....

Different topic but a 24-hour New England TV news outlet did a piece on the recent New Hampshire bus threat. Basically, the person taken into custody from Burundi was the victim because he didn’t speak English, a translator wasn’t available, passengers must have misheard him say “bomb” when he mumbled something in his own language, and oh yeah, seeing the various members of police displaying guns had to be extremely tough on him considering the strife in his home land.

maybe so, but it was pretty big news when it happened. ESPN covered it pretty thoroughly, for one.

“LaCrosse was a town in SW Wisconsin”

It is: I biked through there once. And just because you’re only semi-rich doesn’t mean you can’t be over-privileged... :-)

"I was like, y' know, whatever!"

Yes, they should say, "My attitude towards that was indifferent."

“ESPN covered it pretty thoroughly, for one.”

Understood, but they are a sports network, so there’s plenty they cover that may never grace the pages of MSM such as NYT, WaPo, MSNBC, SeeBS etc. Did Keith Olbermann tag the accused as the Worst Person in the World? I presume not, but concede that I don’t know for sure as I cannot abide watching that guy.

"Regina told Kendall that 'Q' had mushed a cookie in her face and was like eat the cookie, bitch, because she wouldn't give him a ride," Marquis Rolle, one of Berry's friends, remembered her saying.

Try to keep in mind that these are college students.
