Hucakbee's just saying
Politico ^ | May 10, 2010 | Ben Smith

Posted on 05/10/2010 3:16:45 PM PDT by Mozilla

Sarah Palin's endorsement of Establishment candidate Carly Fiorina over grassroots conservative favorite Chuck Devore triggered some grumbling among her supporters and offered an opportunity for Mike Huckabee -- who backs Devore -- to take a bite out of her right flank.

Huckabee has been waging a kind of passive-aggressive new media campaign on the issue. Soon after Palin's announcement, he changed his Facebook status to read, "Just wanted to reiterate my support today for the strongest, proven conservative in the California Senate Race: Chuck DeVore."

I’ll take Palin over Huckabee any day of the week, but in this case he’s absolutely correct.

Huck has a point.

I guess Sarah is just trying to make sure Campbel doesn’t win the nom, but she didn’t need to endorse Carly.

The Huckster is only vying for winning the popularity contest.

Huck doesn’t stand for anything solid or conservative and he isn’t developing a backbone on the Devore issue.

Huck is an idiot.

Huckabee is a chump and a fool. He doesn’t see the bigger picture.

Have you looked at the polls? Voting started today.

Huckabee & Palin are yesterday’s news. I like both of them, but the 2012 candidate will be young, vibrant, and sharp. A JFK conservative so to speak. The country in 2011 will be tired and depressed, looking for a real “Change”.

Do not be surprised if Paul Ryan is the next POTUS. History repeats itself in strange ways.

She didn’t need to endorse McCain either.

The easiest way for a used car salesman to get power is
become a preacher, a politician or get a media gig.

I like the politics of both these folks but neither has a shot at being president. They both have become political celebrities who happen to be totally despised by the MSM. Sarah should have remained governor and dealt with the fanatics who kept filing ethics complaints. Huckabee needs to run and win as a senator.

Well he certainly is a solid pro-lifer. I'll have to read up on him ...

Huckabee couldn’t bite Sarah on the right flank if he tried. I think you mean left flank, Ben. As in making trouble for conservatives, Ben, which you do every chance you get.

Huckabee was the guy who sabotaged Fred Thompson in 2008 and helped put McCain over the top.

For those who don’t remember, Huckabee sent out lying phone calls in conservative southern states, saying that Fred was pro-abortion. Unfortunately, conservative Evangelicals believed him.

Just wanted to reiterate my support today for the strongest, proven conservative . . .

So Hucksterbee is endorsing Palin over himself and Obromney. Got it.
