Democrats Want to Confirm No Experience to the Supreme Court?

Democrats should be our first line of protection against putting a untested candidate on the Supreme court. You'd think one Democrat would wise up and point out a whole stable of qualified Judges who are ready for the job. Then, point out to those who still would take no experience that this decision may well effect their party for 50 years.

And this is the Supreme Court, not some entry level job. They have no idea if this candidate really wants to be a Judge, or gets tired of the jobs and quits. At least with Sotomayer, they could argue she had been a Judge.

This next election cycle will obviously not be easy for Democrats, and putting someone who you can't proof read what they write for the next 50 years is going to prove to be a big chance they can take. What has rubber-stamping all these other policies got them(us) so far, bad results, especially considering Republicans are starting to look good to "likely voters".

Poorly informed and poor judgement are all I get from the Democrat party and their supporters. I'll wish America good luck if Democrats confirm no experience.

I had many thoughts on how bad an idea this was, but I also have to enjoy life while I still can too.

No experience to the Supreme Court is a natural companion piece to no experience to the White House.

And this is the Supreme Court, not some entry level job.

Isn’t this the case with most of his appointees? And with the President as well?

...experiance doesn’t matter to the modern Dem Party...the main thing is that the person is “ideologically sound” as the Communist revolutionaries used to say.

Well hell, these will be the same brain trusts who will say Palin isn’t qualified to be President due to lack of experience....

The Dems went crazy over Harriet's experience....and she withdrew...

I wouldn't be surprised if she withdraws and a really, really liberal piece of crud is behind curtain No 2...

Lack of judicial experience by itself doesn't bother me. I'd probably take the judgment of say, Dr. Walter Williams or Dr. Thomas Sowell over the judgment of anyone Obama is likely to nominate, including judges with experience.

This candidate hates the U.S. military and that disqualifies her immediately in my mind.

Democrats want to lose with Kagan after a big nasty Senatorial fight so that the genuine effective hard core Communist that gets nominated as her replacement will sail through with the votes of smug Republicans who gloat that they beat him on one and now are willing to be magnanimous and let the president have one in return. The whole party is George Bush Senior. That is how we got the ADA and the huge expense and dislocation of that Act. He beat it three times then said aww shucks the Democrats deserve to win one so he supported the identical act the fourth time.

Yep, if she were wise, she’d realize the appointment is for a political hack, and the people will be calling for her impeachment almost every time she writes something news-worthy, which will probably be often as the media wants to tell the public how stupid they are...

So maybe she won’t be so adept as obfuscation. She won’t be able to bury us in citations from other “living constitution” jurists on why the first amendment means the opposite of what it does mean.

Might be better this way. The usurpation of legislative powers will be more apparent.

Klobuchar(D-Mn), Franken(D-Mn) React to Kagan Nomination

http://kaaltv.com/article/stories/S1552142.shtml?cat=10151

Klobuchar says it’s “healthy” for the court to include someone who has experiences different from those of a judge. Franken expects Kagan will be confirmed without difficulty.

^
Just when you thought it couldn’t be done, Klobuchar out-dumbs Franken...real life dumb and dumber...

Lack of experience is an issue only when it’s the opposing party’s nominee.

My knee jerk response would be “It’s not what you know but who you blow”.

However since she’s a militant lesbian that probably didn’t happen.

Michelle’s looking happier these days.

She has a good job and she'll always have a good job. She's not worried one way or the other.

P.S. I consider three women on the court very unbalanced.

No experience is such a good thing that I always ask for a “surgeon” who has never practiced. I always hire a “lawyer” who has never passed the bar. I insist on a bar tender who does not have the experience to tell a slow gin fizz from a Harvey Wall banger. Why would I expect my Carpenter to be able to read a blue print or accurately use a tape measure, when I can hire one with great experience in lecturing at Sunday school. Diversity is so much better then actual experience. Like all the other untrained and inexperienced folks this lady will try unique solutions unfettered by years of experience. She will have the unique ability to mirror the inexperience of our current resident.

Confirmation of Kagan will be like going on a blind date that starts at the wedding chapel.

I liked this so much, I stole it from another thread. Just being honest.
