Here is Nancy Pelosi a few months ago telling a group of musicians and artists that because of ObamaCare they can now leech off of the rest of us saps who have to work for a living:
We see it as an entrepreneurial bill, a bill that says to someone, if you want to be creative and be a musician or whatever, you can leave your work, focus on your talent, your skill, your passion, your aspirations because you will have health care.
I'm thinking a lot of doctors will want to escape the grind and become entrepreneurs themselves. Why wouldn't they? They will be paid pennies compared to the amount spent in school, and now will be told the what, why, where, when, and how by the federal government.
What a wonderful world they envision eh? Our artist class will now have the time to "create" while the rest of us pick up the tab.
If liberal Boomers such as Nancy Pelosi insist on creating government incentives for a generation of people to be unemployed artists who nonetheless have their health care paid for by productive members of society, there will be fewer productive members of society. If they insist on creating a generation unable to care for itself up to and past the ripe old age of 26 by incentivizing "children"and I use to term loosely to stay on parent's health insurance policies until they're turning the corner from Clearasil to Botox, there will be fewer educated, able-bodied people who ever learn to take care of themselves.

Democrats kill the goodness of American generosity and spirit by FORCING CHARITY. It is wrongful. Nancy needs to empty ALL OF HER PERSONAL COFFERS before she sends her long, greedy fingers poking around in your pockets.
I have a better idea. Lower the drinking age.
When the drinking age was 18, there were little road houses all over the United States where budding musicians could sharpen their trade, and make a good living while doing it. When the age was raised to 21, almost all of those places went out of business, and the quality of music started a steep slide past mediocrity to boring.
If we had more places to play, we could afford our own health care.
Liberalism really is a mental disorder.
“...you can leave your work, focus on your talent, your skill, your passion, your aspirations because you will have health care.”
And if everyone does this, who pays the TAXES so that the health care workers get PAID, stupid Nancy?
Or, hey stupid Nancy, what if all the health care workers want to leave their work, focus on their talents and skills, passions and aspirations... who will take care of everyone? IDIOT
mary ham is a fool.
the only reason she’s on bill’s show is because
he wants in her panties.
WHOOOHOOO!!!!
(But where is my pony Obama and Nancy promised me...)
This sort of thinking has been tried for decades in Europe. Is the jury still out, or have people decided whether this works or not?
Now that they have killed my medicare advantage and my medicare supplemental cost is certainly going to rise, I guess I will need to sharpen up my artist resume.
The contract was broken. Are any contracts valid now?
In my neck of the woods HUD money built an “art colony” for low income artists. (lazy bastards with crayons) When health care came up the first thing liberals cheered the fact that low income “artists” wouldn’t be forced to get jobs to pay for health care.
You're absolutely correct! I was one of those local musicians for 25 years. Played on Friday and Saturday nights, averaging 40 nights a year. Didn't get rich but ended up with a bushel full of great friends and memories.
Budding musician. (Snicker.)
It works for the Mexicans.
Yeah, but who is going to pay for the writer's English lesson?
