while reading your post which was clarifying (thank you), i finally saw the forest for the trees. it never occurred to me what Christian denomination or sect Dubya & Laura were/are in: united methodist. that explains a lot !

People jumped on Laura because once an interviewer asked her if her husband was “born-again”, and she replied “I wouldn’t say that”. Exactly. She wouldn’t say that because her group doesn’t say it.
But this was interpreted by some here as her denying his “born-again-ness”. She didn’t. She said, “I wouldn’t say that”.

Lets face facts - Kagan on the SC will be a conservative trainwreck and endanger our liberties. Bush supports Kagan says thats Great. Its good to know who your enemies are. Classy to me is loving liberty, embracing right and truth. These qualities are not found in da bushes. They damn well deserve our contempt.

What would really stop abortions is to give free sonograms and other support to pregnant women, as some pro-life groups do.
BTW, why don’t you argue the case IF you want to make abortions illegal, then criminialize the woman, the partner and any family member that helps in any way. At least then, it wouldn’t be hypocritical.
But, then it is easier for you to just to rant about hell, than look at the statistics and history of abortion in the US to really and rationally try to figure out what DOES prevent abortions.
Rather than just slamming someone in your “ah, the old coathanger” argument you would actually have to study the problem, find out what works and what doesn’t and then work on that.

Some of you on this thread have also aligned yourselves with the Bush woman and the same blood is on your hands as well. That is your choice. Hey think they have gotten a “dose” of some controlled substance. Seeing this thread was posted to inform the board of another instance of Classy Laura’s liberal mouth-drool that would make them the trolls.
