Miss Michigan Rima Fakih has become the first Arab-American and Muslim to be crowned Miss America. Fakih, 24, is of Lebanese descent. She won the swimsuit, evening gown and interview competitions. Fakih said during her interview that she believes birth control should be paid for by a national health insurance program, a marked contrast politically from Miss USA runner up Carrie Prejean's controversial comment last year opposing gay marriage.
“This is historic,” said Imad Hamad of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee. “This shows the greatness of America, how everyone can have a chance to make it," he told the Detroit Free Press.

Gee, I'm surprised the winner wasn't half Hispanic and half Black, pro-abortion, who is a short person, a lesbian with an artificial eye who was constantly beaten by males and is an advocate of several LEFTIST causes.

Why not do some research? She is a known Hezbollah supporter. Her winning only enhancecs the FANTASY that “moderate” Muslims are coming to the rescue. Non-Muslims lost tonight.
Now how is this going to be covered in the muslim countries? Will they publish pics? Will she be seen in burka. Will it infuriate the muslim women and move them to burn their burkas aka the burning bra movement?
OR will the mullahs issue a fatwa on her because if she claims to be muslim how can she possibly show so much of her without insulting islam?

If that is truly so, then why call her by the hyphanated crap. My point was, is that we’ve had all this stuff done to our country by muslims and we are made to embrace them and their way of life. Also, there is something else to this story because a muslims don’t allow there young women to prance around in a bikini. Don’t get me wrong, the woman is beautiful but I see her as just that, a beautiful woman and not an arab.
I daresay this brings a whole new dimension to the expression “dating Miss Michigan”
