Congressman Jay Inslee (D-Bainbridge Island) is a well-known champion of green causes in Congress. Inslee has expressed interest in running for Governor in 2012 (or before), and is seen by many on the enviro-left as a cool operator.
However, at a recent hearing to investigate the foundations of climate science, a Republican challenging Inslee for his Congressional seat says the green hero was less than courteous to an invited expert (and global warming skeptic), Lord Christopher Monckton.
To this observer, Inslee’s tone was not only condescending, but borderline angry.

It would take everything within me not to smack Inslee upside the head. What a horse’s arse.
And Inslee is a genuine moron.
He had to move to the Westside to be elected to Congress where his stupidity can blend in and be considered intelligence.
Got to see him in Washington a couple of times and he is the real deal.
I hope this rude ass is defeated this fall!

If that was a HARD slapback, I’d like to see what a mild correction looks like.
Both congressman are clearly over their heads on scientific issues and Inslee was embarrassingly ignorant regarding Lordships. Inslee makes a good point that the global warming hysterics send scientists to these hearings and our side is represented by a non-scientist. That makes it look like we have none. You don’t send a non-scientist to do a scientist’s job. If they are not willing to take some abuse by a congressputz what good are they.
Lord Monckton is one of the foremost experts on Global Warming. He knows more than any of the so called scientists do.

You have to understand how the scientific community operates. Credibility is based on credentials. Has he published any peer reviewed scientific papers on the subject? Where were they published? Where did he do his research? Where and with who did he get his training? If he has no credentials he is just a dilettante. Someone who dabbles in the area but has no substance. Al Gore is a perfect example. If you have no credentials no scientist will take you seriously.
I have heard him speak many times. He is very articulate and the left cannot stand it. He is goring their sacred ox.

This is a POLITICAL FIGHT now. There is no evidence of man made global warming, only half baked theories and computer ‘models’, propagated by so called scientists that are are agenda driven morons.
Also, after Blair, the House of Lords has tended to become a hangout for trade union hacks who cannot otherwise earn themselves a living - the Lordship content has been radically downgraded.
Yet Al Gore is the leader of the Chicken Little scientists. They never criticize his “science”, instead they give him a Nobel.

Perhaps. This is a political fight but it is being fought using science as the weapon. When they bring a scientist to testify we have to have a better one to counter him. Like in a trial when the prosecuter brings in an “expert” on DNA evidence, you cant bring in a HS science teacher to refute him.
