U.S. Rep. Judy Biggert (R-Ill.) joined U.S. Rep. Spencer Bachus (R-Ala.) in a letter to Obama asking for records concerning ShoreBank. The South Side bank, known for its community lending and with personal ties to Obama aides, has lined up at least $125 million in capital from major banks to qualify for a potential $75 million from the federal government.
Citing unspecified reports of pressure on Wall Street mega-banks, whose interests are involved in a financial regulations bill, the representatives asked for all material, “including e-mails, phone logs and meeting records,” that deal with ShoreBank.
They said ShoreBank may be getting special favors when other banks have been forced to close. The letter asked Obama to respond by June 2.

The hope and change I’m looking for is that some skeletons in Barry’s closet come out long before 2012. Don’t know if this is it, but the more questions about his background may eventually reveal who/what this Soetero character is.

If I recall correctly, Obama Mama.. AKA Stanley Dunham Obama Soetero was very involved in micro loans. Just carrying on the family business.

Beck also in pointing out all the connections involved with Shore Bank and 0 included the Joyce Foundation,the Woods Foundation, the Ford Foundation but he missed this one:
“One of those non-profit groups Lucas mentioned was, as stated in Weissbourd’s bio, Business and Professional People for the Public Interest (BPPPI or BPI), which received $375,000 in CAC grant funds between 1998 and 2002, while Obama served on CAC’s board. Meanwhile, Obama’s political campaign war chest received $105,513 from BPI staff and board members — including Robert Weissbourd.”
For those who don’t know CAC is the Chicago Annenberg Challenge set up by Bill Ayers and chaired by 0. I wonder what the connection is between something that was set up to supposedly improve education for Chicago children and the above named organization is. Guess I’ll have to go see what this BPI is.
