Senate Democrats united to pass a financial regulatory bill that allows the government to collect data on any person operating in financial markets at any level, including the collection of personal transaction records from local banks, including customers’ addresses and ATM receipts.
The Senate voted 59-39 on Thursday to pass the bill – the chief aim of which is to more-heavily regulate the financial industry – sending it to a conference committee in the House of Representatives, where differences between the House and Senate versions will be ironed out.
The bill, if it becomes law, will create the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection and empower it to “gather information and activities of persons operating in consumer financial markets,” including the names and addresses of account holders, ATM and other transaction records, and the amount of money kept in each customer’s account.

There are still many safe Swiss Banks. They are "private" banks with extremely tight security for their clients. USB, because of their physical presence in the USA, essentially had no option but to release customer information.

The Hellth care bill is another foot in the door for this - must have one ID so everyone can have "treatment" - easy to link it to a type of credit/atm card.
CA, county of San Bernardino is now offering their county employees the option of recieving their pay on a county-issued credit card. Right now it is optional....

The hard work of reconciling the House and Senate bills in conference committee starts soon.”

It is already done in some homes. "Free" laptops from school with monitoring software and internal camera's in laptop. One school system has already been "caught".
Cap and trade is a global initiative. They are putting smart meters in homes so they know how much energy you use, They will know your medical records and now all financial transactions and credit card purchases.
At West Point Obama talked about seeking an international order.
He keeps talking about spread the wealth, now they will know exactly:
-- what assets you have and who has too much.
-- How much energy you use and who uses too much.
-- How much health care you consume and if you should have access to more.
