The principal of Oakwood Elementary School was put on administrative leave Friday as school officials continued their investigation of plastic human fetus dolls given to students by an employee.

It was not known if Principal Sheila Tillett Holas knew about the dolls or approved the distribution, The Virginia-Pilot reports.

The employee who gave the students the dolls was put on administrative leave Thursday.

A Virginia school employee was place on administrative leave Thursday after reports that the worker distributed plastic human fetus dolls to students at an elementary school.

The Virginian-Pilot reports that the dolls, which were distributed to students at Oakwood Elementary School in Norfolk over weeks or months, are not authorized instructional materials.

The dolls, in pink and brown and about 4 inches long, came with a "pro-life" message and information on fetal growth, the paper reports.

School officials have begun an investigation. The employee who distributed the dolls has not been identified.

I think there is nothing wrong with this. It is a fairly good way to approach the issue. The teacher should have gotten permission but these little dolls are not offensive to any reasonable person.

I'm calling and supporting the Principle and the employee. Leftists spew their crap in the classroom all the time. Turn about is fair play.

The curriculum probably called for showing the kids how to put a condom on a banana.

You echoed my thoughts, I was just going to post that it's okay to hand out condoms in schools but not dolls.

I know. They look like the plastic baby dolls that came with a doll house I had back in the 60’s.

If only she’d given out Islamic prayer rugs there’d have been no problem.

Should have been brown and black.

Why is this a problem? The dolls are supposed to be models of what a 12-week-old fetus looks like. Isn’t that a part of human growth and development? I have used them when sidewalk counseling at the abortion clinic. If more children grew up knowing that fetuses are not “blobs of tissue” there might be fewer abortions. Why is it that only libs are allowed to shape the minds of this nation’s youth?

The principal is also being called to the carpet for prayer meetings and bible studies held at the school. Pray for her.

Because to call him on that would be to declare yourself in favor of aborting minorities.

The principal and teacher are both black females from what I understand so perhaps that statement doesn’t quit fit.
