“Militants Aboard Flotilla Open Fire on IDF Soldiers”

SNIPPET: “The IDF reports that the crew of the Gaza-bound flotilla lay in wait for the IDF to board their vessel and then attacked IDF soldiers, opening fire on them. One crew member reportedly snatched a gun from an IDF soldier and then opened fire on the troops. Another soldier was stabbed in the stomach with a sharp object. The soldier is in moderate condition and was transferred for medical treatment by helicopter to Rambam Hospital in Haifa. Doctors there determined he would require surgery. Three other soldiers were also wounded and were transferred to Tel Hashomer hospital.

According to the IDF spokesperson, the crew of the flotilla were not peaceful humanitarians, but rather militants who were preparing for provocation and violence, and were planning to stage a “lynch” of the Israeli soldiers.”

Hopefully now the IDF will sink all of the boats before innocent civilians get hurt.

Funny that these flotillas never got violent in the past — when George W. Bush was president ... Hmmmmm. Do they maybe think someone’s “got their back” back in D.C.?

The Israeli military and Foreign Ministry accused the activists of being more interested in trying to stage an anti-Israel stunt and strengthen Hamas rather than trying to help Gaza Arabs.

What else is new...

Well orchestrated, planned, documented and staged “humanitarian” event that even Dr. Josef Goebbels would have been proud of! All the news descriptions define these people as “Left-wing” or Peace Camp activist's when they were, in fact hardcore Jihadis laying in wait for the IDF. They (and the Turks) wanted for some “activists” to die...that is what all Jihadis want - that is what they got and now the UN will make a 437th condemnation of Israel. Yawn...What would the Turks have done had the PKK terrorists approached their territorial waters? By the way, the PKK attacked a Turkish Naval base today supposedly killing 6-7 soldiers. Hmmmmmmm, Turkey fighting terror while aiding and abbeting Terror???

http://www.stratfor.com/analysis/20100530_brief_consequences_flotilla_attack

“At its core, the flotilla incident is an attempt by both sides — the Turkish activists aboard the flotilla and Israel — to shape external perceptions of Israel’s blockade on Gaza. The Turkish interest is in highlighting the plight of Palestinians at the hands of Israel, providing Ankara with a useful lever in the region to claim the mantle of the strongest defender of the Palestinians in Gaza (a reputation Iran has been attempting to build). The Israeli interest is in preventing a loss of control over Gaza and portraying the flotilla supporters as supporters of terrorist elements based in Gaza. The violence that has taken place, however, will likely place Israel at a disadvantage in this contest. Turkish activists may decide to decide to send more ships, or provide the ships with Turkish military escorts in the future, which will bear close watching to see how the diplomatic community, particularly in the United States and Europe, chooses to respond to the incident.”

From what I’ve seen on other websites, the libs are trying to act like this is another travesty on Israel’s part.

Funny, isn’t it, that the MSM isn’t saying anything about the IDF being attacked. They are spinning it as a massacre of innocent peace-loving humanitarians.

” Funny, isn’t it, “

Funny?? Not particularly — ‘business as usual’, is more like it....

By the bye, when I came online this morning, the MSNBC (spit) headline on the MSN homepage had picked up the “10 Dead” meme - although all reports (except one) I’ve seen in my effort to catch up have consistently indicated “2 Dead”...
