TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- The city of Tucson has joined a lawsuit by one of its police officers to block Arizona's immigration enforcement law.
The suit was filed in late April in U.S. District Court in Tucson on behalf of Tucson police officer Martin Escobar.

The cop is probably afraid the law will cut the “pad”. Internal Affairs and the IRS should check his finances. Ten to one he’s dirty.

I hope they find a way to fire the ignorant police officer, who filed the suit. Infiltration is the means of the left to prevail in their agenda.

This comes straight out of the Mexican government's handbook taught in US schools. Accuracy in Academia investigated "ethnic studies" and uncovered damaging material in the high schools of Tuscon, Arizona. Paulo Freire (a Brazilian Marxist)'s book called Pedagogy of the Oppressed is required reading in Arizona's "Raza Studies" (ie, Race Studies), otherwise known as "Mexican-American courses."
Another favorite is "Occupied America" by Rodolfo Acuna, professor of Chicano Studies at California State University in Northridge. "Occupied America," according to the invaders, includes a map of Mexico in 1821 which includes the American Southwest. A choice quote from "Occupied America." It gives us an idea of material Hispanic students are being exposed to in Arizona public schools: "We are fed up. We are going to do away with the injustice to the Chicano and if the 'gringo' doesn't get out of our way, we will stampede over him."
Another priceless gem: "(The Mexican speaker) attacked the gringo establishment angrily at a press conference and called upon Chicanos to "Kill the gringo,' which meant to end white control over Mexicans."

“If officer Escobar won’t do his duty to enforce the law, he should resign. I hear they need good cops in Mexico, apparently where his real loyalty lies in any case. “
He can be suspended for refusing to do his duty, pending a hearing or trial.
“I’m surprised the officers are against the new law...which makes me wonder if there are a disproportionate number of Hispanic officers throughout our border states with family ties/allegiances outside our country? “

He has friends or family members are illegal aliens? He has friends or family members who hire illegal aliens? And in either case doesn’t want to have to be forced to report them for deportation?
Seems any individual, church, company, politician who is ‘pro-illegal’ has some personal agenda that they believe outweighs our sovereignty and security.
That is the question. How has officer Escobar been harmed? Has he been stopped, arrested, had his home invaded without a warrant and on and on?
Just an aside, the lawyer in line 15 says Tucson is south of the border. No. It is north of the border. Hm. Don’t know up from down, north from south, left from right?
