The Coming Resignation of Barack Obama
http://spectator.org/archives/2010/06/02/the-coming-resignation-of-bara/print ^ | 02 june 10 | Peter Ferrara

Months ago, I predicted in this column that President Obama would so discredit himself in office that he wouldn't even be on the ballot in 2012, let alone have a prayer of being reelected. Like President Johnson in 1968, who had won a much bigger victory four years previously than Obama did in 2008, President Obama will be so politically defunct by 2012 that he won't even try to run for reelection.

I am now ready to predict that President Obama will not even make it that far. I predict that he will resign in discredited disgrace before the fall of 2012. Like my previous prediction, that is based not just on where we are now, but where we are going under his misleadership.

Is the President Above the Law?

Watergate was supposed to have established that Presidents are not above the law. If that is so, President Obama may have to resign for breaking the law in the Sestak affair.

While it is impossible to predict the future (there are just too many variables) it is possible to predict trends.

The trend is things are going south for the world and the United States. Some things are being managed by those that want chaos, and some things are just random.

If anything is becoming clear about this administration it is they see everything through political glasses, that is, how they can shape events to further their cause.

Everything they do (or in some cases don’t do) are in meeting their goal into shaping this country into their socialist utopia.

Unfortunately for them (and fortunate for us) they are incompetent. They think they are controlling events but I believe things are out of their control.

The two Koreas are at the point of another war, the only thing stopping it is what do the Chinese want? If the Chinese think a war in Korea is good for them, it will happen.

It appears that Iran will soon have (if they do not already have) a nuclear weapon. The only question is will they use it to destroy Israel immediately or simply blackmail the world?

Europe’s economy is in the toilet, but the real problem is not their economy, but the demographics. Europe will soon not be Europe anymore but an extension of the middle east.

War between Muslims and the rest of the world is on the horizon and the world leaders think all they have to do is be nice and their heads will not be separated from their body.

I can go on. The world is heading for some major problems and the only super power is being weaken by a thousand cuts.

The oil in gulf is a tragedy, but one that we can easily survive.

We need a competent leader, one that has the best interest of our country at heart, Obama is not that leader.

At some point he will need to be replaced. Our constitution provides a way. I believe there is a good chance that he and Biden will be impeached before this is all over.

Ha! Second Redskins mention in this thread! I said Obambi may be like Steve Spurrier — realize it’s hopeless, too much work and too much not-fun, so just go through the motions, quit in place and wait for the season to run out.

O.M.G! I knew you were talking about Hitler but I had never compared the two like that. Obama is like a reincarnation of Hitler!

I agree. Emperor Obamazod the Terrible would demand that all 300 million of his subjects resign for their own ineptitude in failing to understand and bow before his awesomeness before he himself would even consider resigning.

“Watergate was supposed to have established that Presidents are not above the law.”

I concur this is a half-truth. Nixon resigned for the reasons you say, whereas Bill Clinton refused to resign even after being impeached, proving both that he had no integrity or regard for the fate of the country and that Democratic Presidents actually are above the law so long as Democrats control at least one house in Congress.

That said, Dems stuck with WJC because he was perceived to be very good for the party and country. In contrast, Obama is increasingly perceived as a huge liability for the party. So there’s at least a chance they’ll dump Obama on the pretext of taking a tough stand against corruption when the real ulterior motive is to save their party. But Sestak may not be a strong enough rope with which to hang Obama. What Ferrara didn’t mention in his piece is the Blago trial and the prospect that it might unearth some very damaging evidence that does BHO in. It will be an interesting summer to say the least.

My thoughts exactly. Our big problem is how to contain the coming nuclear (or bio, or chemical ect.) war in the Middle East. Israel won’t stand by idly, and Iran thinks it’s necessary to usher in the Mahdi.

If he loses Congress in November he will try to rule by executive order and change policies without Congress. I think we can all see that coming.

[Biden] should be the least of our worries. I’d gladly take him!

I agree. I think he's a loon, I think he's incompetent, and he'd be a horrible president. But he's not viscerally anti-American, hell-bent on dismantling this nation, and that makes him 100 times preferable to Obama.

I believe he will resign too but I think he’ll blame his family - maybe even creating a false family crisis that he must deal with. He’s not finishing his term. He loves the benefits of the presidency but he is not a leader and doesn’t like the job. He’s gone before 2012. And Hello Hillary!

I think those that supported and pushed Obama are feeling too much unwanted attention lately plus the more daily expose of their long range goals, they never planned on the Tea Party for instance and yes they will remove Obama themselves to move up a fresher cleaner more substantial candidate.

Actually, Zero “will” resign if his puppet master deems him to be a liability to their cause and directs him to do so. His puppet master of course being George Soros...

**********************

Imho, that is the only reason he would resign. It's not all that unlikely, either.

Many people seem to be forgetting how out of nowhere he came to ascend to the most powerful position in the world.

I think you are right too in part, the job is just too hard for him. He is going to set back respect for blacks in public life about 50 years. The black community will be furious with his failure.

I wish I could believe that Obama would resign but I can’t,Because Tyrants don’t resign. They do whatever is necessary to maintain their control of the government.

Though time will tell.I sure hope the author is right.

Others may say we’re dreaming, to think this so but it is and has been my dream for a long time now and I’ve said as much many times on this forum.

Wvwn if he were to run on 2012, Arizona has institued a law where Presidential candidaters HAVE to show their birth cert. So, I never expected him to run in 2012. But I also have believed that he will be impeached sometime next year. After the 2010 elections, we WILL have enough votes to get special prosecutors appointed and commissions started. This guy has so many skeletons in the closet and elsewhere that at least one is going to percolate up.

And if they can ever prove the citizenship issue, then every appointment, every edict and every piece of legislation or treaty he has signed will be null and void. McCain would then become President...at least until the 2012 election. All IMO but the bricks have begun to fall in that direction...

I’d take him too. He may be a nitwit, but he doesn’t seem to hate this country and its citizens.

Not to “eminitize the eschaton” too much, but...

Satan doesn’t “know the day or the hour” any more than you or I do, and therefore must keep his “beast” on deck throughout history.

However, he, Satan, can read the signs and scriptural prophecy as well as anyone, and can see that things are unfolding like the “beginning of birth pains”.

The beast would have to be a brooding, thinking (too much) young man with a chip on his shoulder about Christians, Jews, and humanity in general. He would have to be charismatic, and have the beginnings of a messiah complex, for the Antichrist is not only opposed to Christ, he is “instead of” Christ.

So, this “puppet master” could be a bigger entity than most folks are willing to admit.
