Love Dylan!
Dylan a “hippy”??? You know not of what you speak!
No, of course you are correct. He didn’t spawn the 60s counter culture. It was just my imagination. His music will be remembered for how traditional it was.

You might not like him, but he’s a genius.
You are preaching to the choir. I am a big Dylan fan and find Dylan threads to be a source of interest and amusement.
It is amazing to me how some people know so little about the man, yet have such strong opinions regarding him, That has become evident on this thread once again.
“He didnt spawn the 60s counter culture.”
No musician “spawned” the 60s counter culture.
Many musicians reflected it, however.
I’ve been locked out of this thread.
And you're a knee-jerk ignoramus.
Don’t EVER forget WHERE that flotilla came from.
Don’t EVER forget tht Turkey ONCE AGAIN demonstrated it is just another Nomad Desert Sheikdom of Muslims who have seized a piece of territory and are part of the Umma.

There are many more websites than his “official” one. The best is
And there’s
True, there are other websites on Bob Dylan. I was just presenting the one that is the offical website. The rest are fan created.
Thanks so much for posting this. I really haven’t kept up with Dylan since the late 60’s. I just never cared for his more “mellow” sounding stuff. But this song is as biting and brilliant as anything he ever wrote—and I do believe he is one of our greatest poets.
You might want to check out the dylan radio site that I linked for a taste. They play a wide variety of Dylan. One can also request a song be played.
I'd recommend listening to some songs from two albums for a Dylan reintroduction
