Los Angeles County Vote to Boycott Arizona; LAUSD also Denounces SB 1070
San Fernando Sun ^ | June 2, 2010 | Alex Garcia

Posted on 06/03/2010 12:47:43 PM PDT by La Enchiladita

Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and the Los Angeles Unified School District [LAUSD] joined the city of San Francisco and West Hollywood and signed on to denounce SB 1070, the Arizona law that criminalizes undocumented immigrants.

...The boycott calls for a stop of any official county travel to Arizona, as well as a revision and end to any contract with that state.

...Meanwhile, Supervisor Mike Antonovich, who last week had come out against the proposal, calling it "stupid," ratified his position this week, adding that as elected officials they must uphold the law.

"We need solutions, not boycotts. Solutions, not more lawsuits," he said. "Legal immigration is the lifeblood of our country, but illegal immigration is illegal across the world."

He added Arizona should be commended for passing SB 1070 and for showing the need for immigration reform.

...Also against the boycott was Errol Valladares, member of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly.

"This boycott is going to hurt the very Latino people it alleges to help," said Valladares, who is of Guatemalan descent. "Los Angeles County shouldn't meddle in or interpret Arizona law. This boycott is not going to changeArizona law."

If we were to move there, we would move on out of state.

He should learn that if he wants to still HAVE an Airstream dealership that he should move out of that state while he still can.

Otherwise, well, it’s not like he didn’t see the writing on the wall in the most-business-hostile state in the US.

You should move out of state anyway. Your fixed income will go a heck of a lot longer in almost any other state than it does in CA.

Liberals are inadvertently admitting what everyone knows, that the vast majority of illegal aliens are Hispanics from Central America and that it is fairly easy to tell an illegal alien from a US citizen just by looking at them.

And since common sense is involved in determining who should be checked and who shouldn’t, it is expressly forbidden.

I’ve been to LA. The entire political system is run by anti-white Mexo-fascists like MEChA and LaRaza. When you call any business someone answers in Spanish. All the Help Wanted signs say “must be bilingual”. If anything California is the one that NEEDS laws like Arizona’s. The illegals have taken over the entire state and plan to give it back to Mexico.

These asspickers want to boycott and throw temper tantrums, let them FEEL the results of their actions.

“AZ should immediately call them on that and end the electricity supply contract. Tell them that if they want electricity, they can negotiate for a new contract, starting at triple the current rate. I’m sure AZ could sell the electricity to other states.”

DITTO.

It’s long past time the half of the country with brains starts making the other half suffer for intentionally attempting to destroy our country, society and lifestyle.

Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and the Los Angeles Unified School District need to make sure they spell “Arizona” right - our side needs the press...

They spell it AZTLAN. Si, se puede!!
