As Feminism Takes Over US Universities, Decline Sets In
The Spearhead ^ | June 3, 2010 | Welmer

Professor Ross Forman, who earned his doctorate in comparative literature at Stanford, had a tough time finding work in American universities, but found an inviting atmosphere in Asia, where his education and skills were valued despite his being male. More and more American academics – most of them male – have been traveling far afield to find work in the better environment provided outside of the United States, where higher education has increasingly come to resemble a ladies’ book club.

In addition to the ideologically-rooted hostility against men standard in American universities, skyrocketing tuition costs and bloated budgets for the benefit of such departments as women’s studies have taken their toll.

Although foreign students continue to flock to American universities, the best and brightest in countries such as China and India are increasingly likely to stay home and attend elite, domestic universities. Fortunately for them, professors such as Ross Forman are stepping in to fill in to provide them with the best America has to offer, allowing them all of the benefits of American expertise without the drawbacks and mediocrity that have come to characterize American higher education.

When I was at university, I immediately noticed this in a political science class, when I highlighted how affirmative action disproportionately benefits women. The ensuing uproar among the female students was predicable as pressing a button.

Unless, you are in the hard sciences or aiming for a masters or graduate school, university can be a huge waste of time and money.

Our whole country is going to pot. I used to think we would win, but not so much anymore.

We have a predominate liberal guilt death wish and are intent on destroying ourselves to assuage our guilt feelings, while the eastern world has no problem with making progress.

Unless things change, America will be left behind.

Fortunately for me CS is still a pretty ‘hard’ science.

“Unless things change, America will be left behind.”

Unless things change, America will perish.

I could not agree more. The Humanities should be renamed the Mediocraties, and no, that is not the name of an ancient Greek philosopher.

Men need to major where the women aren’t. Otherwise the degree is likely to be worthless.

The little ladies will defend the economic and psychological rents AA gives them until they die. They will ignore facts, morality, their own long term self interest...it won’t matter what you say.

As far as universities are concerned, everything outside of math, engineering, and hard sciences is gone - destroyed by AA and those who benefit from it and their Marxist and guilted liberal faculty and administrator enablers.

All civilizations fall as they rot from the inside out. Ours is happening before our very eyes.

These are the last days in Rome.

The same thing is happening in any sector where women dominate. I am seeing the infiltration in upper management of hospitals and it is never rarely based on skill and experience - just the body parts and maybe a different race thrown in for good measure. It makes me nauseous, and yes, I am female.

Things cannot change. The entire education system is rotten and it would take an absolute dictator 2 generations to put the schools back on track, and that is from grade 1. When our universities no longer draw the cream of the world’s crop of youth then America will lose its edge altogether. Our own lower schools are no longer able to provide the brains for the universities in the great numbers of the past and we rely on being the destination and home of the best of the foreign brains who train here and then stay here.

They do rot....but it is because of the Marxist ideology which is preventing competition and meritocracy to be rewarded and government taking more and more freedom away from the people, interfering in all aspects of life.

PC is what is ruining every institution, plus it is taking women away from the job of nurturing their children with a loving husband, which excels the process in our destruction because we are raising illiterate, uncontrollable, unmotivated, depressed, immature people. The destruction of religion by our government(as was done in Europe) is also a major factor since immorality places a bigger need for government to interfere.

We are heased for some bad and hard times as a Nation.
Times that will separate the boys from the men and the girls from the women. And the way things are going, most will not make it.
