Predictable: CNN’s Fareed Zakaria Blames Bush for Israeli Flotilla Tragedy (Video)

Obviously, blaming former President George W. Bush is en vogue - for everything from the BP oil spill to the current economic malaise. But some things that are going wrong in the world - it just seems to be a bit of a stretch to pin on a former administration.

But that didn't stop CNN's Fareed Zakaria, also the editor of Newsweek International. On his June 6 show "Fareed Zakaria GPS," Zakaria pointed out the pivotal role Turkey played in last week's deadly Gaza flotilla raid.

"Turkey was also playing a new and potentially dangerous game here," Zakaria said. "Despite being physically and historically connected to Europe, Turkey is increasingly playing a role that distances itself from those roots. Once a strong U.S. ally, a founding member of NATO, Turkey now often looks more like a troublemaker than a friend."

So President Bush caused the harmada, while Vice President Cheney blew up the oil rig? Is Karl Rove about to start another hurricane?

Fareed “Osama” Zakaria, the media's token “moderate” Islamic commentator. Or to put it in terms Biden my use, he's clean and articulate. Zakaria is as rabidly anti-Isreal as the rest of the bunch, he just smart enough not to make a “Helen Thomas” mistake.

Like the race card, “Bush’s fault” is wearing really thin with Americans. This wacky foreigner needs to learn that. Americans have had it with his kind.

Later in the show, Elliot Abrams made Zakaria look extremely foolish by pointing out that every person shot among the several nationalities on board the flotilla were Turks. Coincidentally, Turks also seemed to be the only persons on board who were armed and violent.

He should team up with the more prominent fellow Judeophobe, Helen Thomas, for a talk show.

If Zakaria were honest, and he is not, he would return to 1993 when the new Clinton administration approved of Erdogan’s involvement with the Islamist movement in Iran. It also became part of an Islamist cabal that involved the Sudan and its guest Osama Bin Laden, in the growth of Al Qaeda in Bosnia. Erdogan worked closely with a Dr. Hassanein, founder of the phoney Third World Relief Agency, to move arms to Bosnia despite a UN arms embargo.

Turkey through Erdogan has been a major supporter of the Chechnyan rebels, and Turkish support accounts for much of the trouble one encounters in the Caucasus today. In sum, Erdogan is a slimey piece of Islamist goods, and Turkey has lost its standing in Europe because of him.

I’m sure that when their toilets back up, the first thing these nitwits think is how they can blame it on Bush.
