The article doesn’t say...did they take out the Renault engine and put in a good one?
How long does it take to change a couple rubber bands? lol
Training for this level of operational integration represents a tremendous commitment from the two Navys.
Not so different... When your low on fuel with no land divert available, you'll start praying for a good pass the first time around... :-)
Personally, I wouldn’t make fun of the French or their navy. I think we need all the friends and allies that we can get.
If a Frenchman or woman joins their military, I think we should thank them and give them our support.
There are some tough French military members out there. Please don’t make fun of them. Like I said, we, America, freedom and rational thought and resistance against leftism/socialism need and deserve all the support we can give them.
France especially needs suppport in it’s resistance against Islamofascism and Islamic demographics in Europe.
Just my 2 cents.
I re-read the article - Purple for a Priest??
was this said as a joke?
I assume it was- but the article does not say
he was smiling.. curious.
I enjoy haranguing the French as much as the next guy, but anyone capable of a clean carrier landing and then completing a complex mechanical maneuver in an unfamiliar environment is OK in my book.
I’m sure that anyone serving in the French military has much in common with those serving in ours.
“They took our jerbs!”
It was likely part of a training exercise. The Maintenance team brought it on board with them to perform this as a training exercise. Our guys (or theirs) would also fuel them, and practice arming them. Routine stuff.
In a real shooting war they might need these jets to be able to land and be serviced on our flat tops.

It’s the French policy makers deserving of criticism.
However it’s been weird of late to see a French President that’s tougher
and more rationale than the current occupant of The Oval Office.
Purple is a liturgical color, signifying penance. So there may be a connection there to explain why that color was shown.
Sorry. Shown -> chosen.
And a good 2 cents it is.
Thanks

Post or FReepmail me if you wish to be enlisted in or discharged from the Navair Pinglist.
The only requirement for inclusion in the Navair Pinglist is an interest in Naval Aviation.
This is a medium to low volume pinglist.
What color do their fuel people wear?
I have lots of respect for the French pilots. I’ve seen the DeGaulle, it’s only about a two-thirds the size of our carriers. You gotta have some real cajones to land on that little thing.
