Mike hit the treadmill with a dual story about a mob boss, and how it relates to a crooked lawyer in Florida. Another Savage verbal tapestry day.

I read the FR posts about the "death cult," the sus (the "sustainment" critters); that is, people who wish to rid the planet of a few billion of us.

I'd love to hear Dr. Savage's analysis of what makes them sick.. I mean tick.

Mike is bringing up a great observation. Seems everyone worth mentioning in our popular culture are just those on the take. Criminals and lowlifes with prestigious positions and law degrees. Where are the real heros anymore?

I’m glad you agree Wm.

Should This Be the Last Generation? (asks Peter Singer)
http://opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/06/06/should-this-be-the-last-generation/?ref=opinion

and the FR thread:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2529271/posts

The good news is that I’ve called a few talkshow hosts on the subject, and only Doc Savage took up the issue at all (2006 I think). As it won’t be easy to upload again, I’m attempting to find the recording of that call in the web archive.

The Doc slowed me down and summarized what I said very well. But then, when he gave me the opening to continue, I was too flustered to go on. I’ve not been able to get on since then, not that I’d be able to keep up my side of the dialogue any better.

From August 2, 2006.

Savage: “Hold on. You have many different themes going at once. I think I can summarize what you’re saying in my own way, which is this:

The Jewish religion, which gave rise to Christianity, is a life affirming religion.
The core of it is: “Therefore, choose life.”
The liberal, whether they be Jewish or non-Jewish, of Jewish descent or non-Jewish descent, or of whatever descent. The liberal ethos is one of death worship; the death cult. The death cult is a cousin of the Islamo-fascist death cult, which is why they have sympathy for that devil. Does that say it all?”

I said yes, but it wasn’t really quite right. I was too flustered to correct it, or add on to it. But close enough for me at the time because not only was it a thought generally not spoken anywhere, but one that had been actively suppressed.

It wasn’t the liberal that I had a problem with, but the Leftist who has been masquerading behind liberal sensibilities to enslave the lib, and from there the rest of us.

But as you can see, unlike other allegedly moral talkshow hosts I could name, Savage was willing to speak to the fact that liberalism isn’t harmless. Enabling the death cults to gain the upper hand is hardly harmless.

So here it is four years later, and Peter Singer can say the brazen things he does because he knows he has a lot of sympathetic ears.

YES. I’d love to see the Doc slam the Singer spiel that was published on D-Day 2010 by the NY Slimes.

Essentially, both radical Islam and postmodernist “Progressives” would have us SUBMIT to their will like we were their animals rather than free men.

The people who think are cool are usually the opposite of cool. You can look cool but still be a loser.

The people who think are cool are usually the opposite of cool.
From a new post at Belmont Club.
If you want to be admitted into the inner sanctum of the cultural elite, if you wish to be considered ‘cool’; if you aspire to be like a very powerful segment of the movers and shakers, then you had better stop clinging to your Bibles and guns and get with the program. Far from being “alien”, President actually represents a point of view shared by many millions of Western Europeans and Americans. He is not the cause, but rather the effect of the existence of that nation: if he were not President, that nation would endeavor to elect someone else just like him to the Presidency. But the two nations are not mirror images of each other. One is self-aware and the other minds its business thinking that everyone else does. They are asymmetrical with respect to their desire for power. And because of this the President’s nation can see the other clearly every day of the week, as a traveler sees an obstacle before it, while people like Rabinowitz never think of themselves as the obsctacle. That’s the problem. As the fight scene from “They Live” shows, the real challenge is to get both sides to perceive each other symmetrically. They Live.
Let me make one more observation about Wretchard's statement "One is self-aware and the other minds its business thinking that everyone else does."

This is a weakness among conservatives. Because they are decent and don't want to bother anyone else, they wrongly project their own decency on their "self-aware" adversaries.

Pray to God that weakness is overcome before it is too late.

Bare-faced lie, after bare-faced lie.

Obama hid his ENTIRE LIFE from the American people, and is still hiding all of it.

RE: "Essentially, both radical Islam and postmodernist “Progressives” would have us SUBMIT to their will like we were their animals rather than free men."

Yes. But on the death issue the Islamist bombers believe in an afterlife. The Islamist leaders who send the bombers on their mission.. well their heaven is here. I believe that even in the Shah's day the Muslim leaders collected a huge amount of money from the Shah. Today some are probably billionaires.

To be fair, I believe that the Ayatollah Khomeini lived a "simple" life even after the revolution. His children however, I believe, live the good life in Iran and elsewhere.

But what do the New Left 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus/street rabble and their biological/ideological issue believe in vis-à-vis an afterlife? That's what I'd like to hear Savage talk about. If no afterlife then.. existentialism? They'll do it simply because they have the power?

If I recall correctly, David Horowitz's Radical Son suggested that the New Left was formed by CP/USA members' children disillusioned by Khrushchev's revelations about their Uncle Joe. Today IMO arguably they are the Establishment and the sus.

BTW, Andrew McCarthy's new book documents the Islamists and Left cooperation against us. I have not yet read it.

There, at ten minutes past the top of the third hour, Savage spoke of the Dorothy Rabinowitz piece that prompted Wretchard to write “They’re Here.”

He’s agreed with your analysis of the BS SJB!

I agree but if it takes war I say leave it to the professionals; to wit, IMO every 200-year-old republic is entitled to at least one patriot dictator..

If modern America's Man on Horseback is out there, Get on the damn horse already!

In Wretchard's "They're Here" he also quotes Prince Charles.
Prince Charles exhorted his listeners to follow the precepts of two great religions: Islam and Environmentalism. His Royal Highness “urged the world to follow Islamic ’spiritual principles’ in order to save the environment”
There's your other religion, or belief, of the Left you wanted Wm.

I personally believe it's simply another ruse behind which those who lust for unlimited power hide. What they want most is to see killed as many humans as possible. This desire is so strong that I suspect there must be some heightened sexual orgasm that these deviants get when they witness large numbers of deaths.

Do a google search for “bug chasers.” It was originally revealed by “Rolling Stone” mag in the early 90s.

SJB:”Yeah, that is pretty sick.”

So now you can see why I’ve some known reasons to suspect that extraordinary sex could be involved in driving this, not merely some arbitrary and odd beliefs or two. Talk about an upside down world. You want irony, how about that a few would seek abnormal highs hidden in the drive to reproduce by causing massive deaths?

More irony: The most prudish of religions, Islam, could be provoked so that powerful deviants could obtain good sex.

These a$$holes need to be stopped, and very soon.

RE: religion of the left.

Assuming that they can get past radical Islam..

So these excessively self-aware, self-defined intellectuals once they achieve "sustainability" they will have proved that they are the warders of planet Earth -- perhaps even the Earth's gods.

Perhaps they will immediately busy themselves to achieve eternal life thus eliminating the need for an afterlife altogether -- whatever they absolutely will not allow boredom.. a warder bored is something they cannot tolerate.

RE: ironic

It's simply about our inalienable rights.. theirs and ours.

They have absolute rights to what they feeeeeeeeeeeeeeel and we have absolute rights to what we know and believe.

What happens when the two collide? Matter and anti-matter? One has to disappear -- at least temporarily, a hundred (thousand?) years or so.

It is written.. er, at least typed.
