Mike hit the treadmill with a dual story about a mob boss, and how it relates to a crooked lawyer in Florida. Another Savage verbal tapestry day.

I read the FR posts about the "death cult," the sus (the "sustainment" critters); that is, people who wish to rid the planet of a few billion of us.

I'd love to hear Dr. Savage's analysis of what makes them sick.. I mean tick.

Mike is bringing up a great observation. Seems everyone worth mentioning in our popular culture are just those on the take. Criminals and lowlifes with prestigious positions and law degrees. Where are the real heros anymore?

I’m glad you agree Wm.

Should This Be the Last Generation? (asks Peter Singer)
http://opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/06/06/should-this-be-the-last-generation/?ref=opinion

and the FR thread:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2529271/posts

The good news is that I’ve called a few talkshow hosts on the subject, and only Doc Savage took up the issue at all (2006 I think). As it won’t be easy to upload again, I’m attempting to find the recording of that call in the web archive.

The Doc slowed me down and summarized what I said very well. But then, when he gave me the opening to continue, I was too flustered to go on. I’ve not been able to get on since then, not that I’d be able to keep up my side of the dialogue any better.

Don’t feel too bad... you probably lasted longer than I ever did on Savage’s show....

From August 2, 2006.

Savage: “Hold on. You have many different themes going at once. I think I can summarize what you’re saying in my own way, which is this:

The Jewish religion, which gave rise to Christianity, is a life affirming religion.
The core of it is: “Therefore, choose life.”
The liberal, whether they be Jewish or non-Jewish, of Jewish descent or non-Jewish descent, or of whatever descent. The liberal ethos is one of death worship; the death cult. The death cult is a cousin of the Islamo-fascist death cult, which is why they have sympathy for that devil. Does that say it all?”

I said yes, but it wasn’t really quite right. I was too flustered to correct it, or add on to it. But close enough for me at the time because not only was it a thought generally not spoken anywhere, but one that had been actively suppressed.

It wasn’t the liberal that I had a problem with, but the Leftist who has been masquerading behind liberal sensibilities to enslave the lib, and from there the rest of us.

But as you can see, unlike other allegedly moral talkshow hosts I could name, Savage was willing to speak to the fact that liberalism isn’t harmless. Enabling the death cults to gain the upper hand is hardly harmless.

So here it is four years later, and Peter Singer can say the brazen things he does because he knows he has a lot of sympathetic ears.

YES. I’d love to see the Doc slam the Singer spiel that was published on D-Day 2010 by the NY Slimes.

Essentially, both radical Islam and postmodernist “Progressives” would have us SUBMIT to their will like we were their animals rather than free men.

The people who think are cool are usually the opposite of cool. You can look cool but still be a loser.

We may have to go to war with them. They are closed minded, and treacherous.

The people who think are cool are usually the opposite of cool.
From a new post at Belmont Club.
If you want to be admitted into the inner sanctum of the cultural elite, if you wish to be considered ‘cool’; if you aspire to be like a very powerful segment of the movers and shakers, then you had better stop clinging to your Bibles and guns and get with the program. Far from being “alien”, President actually represents a point of view shared by many millions of Western Europeans and Americans. He is not the cause, but rather the effect of the existence of that nation: if he were not President, that nation would endeavor to elect someone else just like him to the Presidency. But the two nations are not mirror images of each other. One is self-aware and the other minds its business thinking that everyone else does. They are asymmetrical with respect to their desire for power. And because of this the President’s nation can see the other clearly every day of the week, as a traveler sees an obstacle before it, while people like Rabinowitz never think of themselves as the obsctacle. That’s the problem. As the fight scene from “They Live” shows, the real challenge is to get both sides to perceive each other symmetrically. They Live.
Let me make one more observation about Wretchard's statement "One is self-aware and the other minds its business thinking that everyone else does."

This is a weakness among conservatives. Because they are decent and don't want to bother anyone else, they wrongly project their own decency on their "self-aware" adversaries.

Pray to God that weakness is overcome before it is too late.

Bare-faced lie, after bare-faced lie.

Obama hid his ENTIRE LIFE from the American people, and is still hiding all of it.
