(NC) Dem Congressman Goes Nuts When Asked if He Supports the “Obama Agenda”; Attacks Students– Video

Here is shocking video of North Carolina Democrat Rep. Bob Etheridge being asked by some students on a public sidewalk in Washington, D.C. if he supports the “Obama Agenda.” Once he realized the students were asking him that question, he went bonkers. Etheridge hit their camera and then grabbed one of the students by the arm as he repeated over and over “Who are you, Who are you? Tell me who you are?” The students identified themselves as such, but Etheridge persisted. At one point he then grabbed the student whose arm he had been holding onto and pulled himself up beside himself with his arm wrapped around the student. The student repeatedly asked the Congressman to “let go of my arm.”

There is no scenario under which this kind of behavior is acceptable. Etheridge represents the 2nd District in North Carolina, and faces a tough re-election battle. This video ought to seal his defeat. It’s time for voters to say to Etheridge, “Who are you” to treat people like this?

If this is a swing district, then there's time for them to recover. In all likelihood, he'll be pulled out as the nominee and replaced by someone who can win. Think Torricelli/Lautenberg in NJ a few years back.

Better that this was held until mid-October than hitting (pun intended) now.

At 43 seconds this Congressman, who has sworn the oath to "Preserve and Protect the Constitution of the United States" declares that he has a right to know who someone is on a public sidewalk who is merely asking him a question and filming him with a video camera.

Someone needs to remind said Congressman that there is a "1st Amendment" that allows for free speech and assembly. He should also be reminded that even a momentary restraint of an unwilling nature constitutes battery and that most would regard the grabbing of the neck as assault.

This should be ALL OVER the news. As someone else pointed out...these boys were well dressed, polite, and non-confrontational. How many times did they address him as “sir”, even after he got violent?

I also think when he originally reached out to grab the kid’s neck, he was going for a choke but thought better of it.
