Very interesting, but it is for 2008. Is there an updated version? I imagine that it is quite different now, considering the economic implosion we’ve had since Zero became King.

So if anyone is planning to flee to Alaska, go to Anchorage.

Agreed!

When I lived in pre-pipeline Fairbanks, back in the early 70’s, we used to call Anchorage, where you went on vacation, or if we were feeling mean, fake Alaska. Winter, even before cost of living, should be the biggest concern for anyone moving to Alaska. You haven’t lived until you have survived eight months of WINTER. That is one reason Anchorage was called fake Alaska, Winter just wasn’t winter, compared to Fairbanks.

The county where I’ll be retiring in (Sweet Home) Alabama has a steady 31,000 people. I love it.

Curses! Looks like all of California is moving to Texas. The east coast is also moving here.

They can come, but it will be in Gods hand whether they make it, or they break.

There is practically zero illegal immigration into Alaska.

The only possible small percentage is from Russia, and honestly I welcome them with an open heart, they are loyal workers, can truly understand the winter and they sure aint Muslims!

That’s pretty cool. Its easy to see from the migration patterns and income from my county, its dominated by migrant farmers.

Yea, and what happens when they break? Pretty costly to get out of there, Air fare, boat trip, or the Alcan. It’s thousands of miles back to the lower 48. Welfare payments, jail, or a ticket out of town, for the broke, depressed, and downtrodden.

The Detroit link caught my eye, too.

There’s so much red there, you can barely see the map.

OK, folks, there are a couple of counties in upper Idaho that are worth looking at.

These are primary “retreat” areas for those expecting TEOTWAWKI. Major INBOUND migration from all over the country.
