Wow, just wow. Never would have seen this one coming, but is one of the standard-bearers of the media elite recognizing the Obama administration's anti-business populist tone is inhibiting the U.S. economy?

On the June 18 broadcast of CNBC's "Squawk Box," NBC "Meet the Press" moderator David Gregory was asked to respond to a June 18 New York Times article by David Sanger suggesting the Obama administration may be "overstepping" and discouraging business growth in the United States. Gregory told "Squawk Box" viewers that in his view they were and called it "a real problem."

Hopefully the Dinosaur Media is starting to realize this as well.

Wonder if Gregory is beginning to think he may not get a year-end bonus from NBC or something worse.

Many of the leftist liberal bureaucrats are just naive to understand what socialism really is. Hopefully the more they see and understand it the more they will get enlightened and join us in defeating it. They have children and grandchildren to think of.

Obama using the gulf crisis to restart cap n' tax convinced me he could care less about getting re-elected. Thats gonna blow the teetering economy sky high & guarantee Obama the top spot as most hated man in America.

Actually I'm kinda envious of the left - its obvious that deconstructing the left's power structure in Washington will be a suicide mission but I can't think of a potential candidate on our side who'd be willing to take the leap.

I’m beginning to see 1980 played out all over again except this time it isn’t Carter/Kennedy.

Nice when every now and then a particle of sanity invades a leftists mindset.

Doesn’t last long but it’s a start.

If it took Gregory this long to figure that out, he must ride the short bus.

No, they don’t. They are starting to see him for what he is. His “attitude” is showing and they aren’t liking his elitist arrogance. One term president.

Interesting. Perhaps the media elites see the coming electoral tsunami against Obama and the Democrats and are hoping to stay ahead of it by pointing out the drearily obvious, now. However, the left is just as stuck with this incompetent, Marxist president as we are and they'll eventually try to give him some cover because they have nowhere else to go. He'll be characterized as 'brilliant but disappointing' and his lack of experience running anything but his mouth will be blamed. The media conveniently acquiring amnesia regarding their complete lack of interest in Obama's non-existent experience back when he was a presidential candidate and their blatant cheerleading for him, early on.

I expect that the leftmedia will try to pretend that Obama was just too brilliant for us to appreciate. Barf!

Gregory’s probably getting spanked as I write this. He’ll be heavily reeducated this weekend by his NBC/GE overlords. By Sunday he’ll be spouting the Jake Tapper observation that “Obama had a good week.”

"I’d imagine a lot of these wealthy liberals are getting some bad news from their accountants and stock brokers, and they are not happy."

The homegrown commies never stopped to think that when they voted for The Destruction of America that it could include them too?

I’ve been thinking for months that it’s him that wants to be a one-termer.

I was speculating with another FReeper on this awhile ago.

One term may have been his plan all along. Figure that he gets the boot in 2012, dumps Michelle in 2013, gets $20 million per volume of the endless anthology "My Life as the First Black President", and hits the lecture circuit to do what he does best - getting paid 50K a pop to read a teleprompter to adoring sycophants.

They thought that he was going to go after the “evil rich”, which of course, did not include them................

"I’ve been thinking for months that it’s him that wants to be a one-termer....he’s reached his pinnacle and satisfied his ego; besides the job’s a bit over his head and he probably sorta realizes that."

The "job" is incidental to him.

His objective is to fundamentally transform the U.S. into a Fascist/Marxist state, with so many dependent on the state teet that it would be impossible through "democratic" process to reverse it.

Who are those who want what others earn taken away and given to them than those who promise to do just that?

If he can stick it to those who believe in personal liberty and limited government enough to accomplish that in one term, so much the better.

The "job" of the presidency is just pomp and circumstance to such a committed, evil ideologue.

Somebody in his circle of friends is helping him decide what to say. NBC/MSNBC is potentially to be controlled by new management, with the Comcast/Universal/NBC joint venture.

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.” — C.S. Lewis

I’ve read that American businesses have 1.8 TRILLION DOLLARS sitting on the sidelines. They are never going to spend it with the way government is borrowing and spending. They know the taxes are coming, why make their positions even worse than they already are?
