What Gen. McChrystal said "crosses the line of insubordination and it crosses the line of the military code of justice. He has challenged the commander-in-chief and legally, morally, ethically and professionally he ought to be canned."

That is true. And MacArthur should have been canned, only much sooner.

We’ll, yet again, see the hypocrisy of the State Run Media. They will all line up calling for the firing of McChrystal. Yet, when there was any dessent from the military when Bush was President, the SRM was all about freedom of speech and “doing the right thing”, etc.

For what it is worth, McChrystal should be fired. Like it or not, Obama is the CIC. If McChrystal wants to criticize him in public, resign and then do it. What hs is doing makes him look weak. And now having to grovel and apologize ... geez. His troops will have NO respect for him.

A broken clock is right twice a day. NBC rules of news:

Questioning a democrat president during a time of war is insubordination.

Questioning a Republican president during a time of war is political dissent.

One may think that a chain of command is to be ordered and followed. There has been a lot of good men killed because of LBJ directing the war 4,000 + miles away. There will come a time when the pentagon will have to tell Obama to kiss ass and move out of the way...Obama has no experience, and he is one that I will not follow or put my men in danger just because of his fruitcake whims. I am proud of McChrystals standing up and saying the truth, and I am saddened that he is apologizing to the chief pussy in the white house. Obama loves yes men, his aim is to destroy America, and the more that we stand up to him, the better, but you may not agree, but some times you have to screw the chain of command.

A lot of America's finest have died because of McChrystal's convoluted “Rules of Engagement” (Oxymoron) as well.

He voted for MaObama, promised that he would implement and prove that PC combat can and will work. He has NEVER been an adequate commander and needs to be fired.

Only problem is, MaObama will replace him with much worse. Due to the “CIC” agenda to pull all the troops out in July, 2011. He wants this thing to fail so he can show his extreme base that cutting and running is the thing to do. The ensuing mess this will create will make the current WOT look like weekend Guard meeting.

Lt. Gen. Sanchez was feeding the MSM with anti-Bush crap from day one. Sanchez didn't even have the guts to allow the MSM to use his name and his name only became public after he retired.

Anyone who criticized Dubya was a media darling.

Yep. This scumbag Mitchell would be praising a general who pulled the same crap with a Republican president.

No, dugout Doug was canned for defying civilian authority and orders. He deserved to be fired in the same way McClelland deserved to be fired during the Civil War. Both were meglomaniacs who had Caesar complexes. If he had been fired for being critical of the president or policies he would have been gone much earlier. Any senior officer who speaks out against civilian authority, regardless of the party should expect to be called on the carpet. What the general said was true and not defiance of civilian authority but unfortunately, too many generals will back down and recant/apologize rather than be fired.

Wheels within wheels, is Omama going to fire Gen. McChrystal in order to later say we lost Afghanistan because the military leaders were disloyal to his administration and monkey wrenched victory?

Save our country by voting in real conservatives who have ethics and backbones in 11/2010 & 11/2012.

If he gets relieved of duty, that means he will be available for service in the 2nd Continental Army. ............................. I want to join, I may be another John Burns of Gettysburg fame, and like him, I can still shoot straight.

Whether right or wrong, the fact that Mitchell, an Obama spokesperson, is saying this tells me he will be out shortly.

NBC’s Andrea Mitchell is correct. Public opinion may be with Gen. McChrystal but history and the Constitution is not. Lincoln was correct when he fired McClellan even though McClellan and most of the general public did not think so. History proved Lincoln correct.
When Truman fired MacArthur most of the general public and especially General MacArthur disagreed, but Truman was right. I am not sure if Truman or MacArthur was right in the way to wage the Korean war, but Truman was Constitutionally right. Now regardless what we think about TheGreatIAm and McChrystal, It is proper for TheGreatIAm to say Adios to McChrystal.

Bring McChrystal home and bring the troops with him.

General Petraeus said there was only double digits of al Queda there. So what we have is mission creep involving ourselves in a local power struggle. This isn’t a cause for our troops to die - no matter who wins, we lose.
