Obama chooses Gen. David Petraeus to replace Gen. Stanley McChrystal as top Afghan commander, according to the Associated Press.

He's out of a job as of today. I don't think it'll take long at all to process his retirement.
Hate to see McChrystal out, but I am loving Obama turning to Gen. Patreaus. You know LIB heads are exploding everywhere.
From Washington to Grant to Eisenhower, generals become presidents only when they win wars. Thus there was no President McCarthur, and no President McClellan(who ran against Lincoln in ‘64 on the premise that the civil war could not be won, but then the Union won. Oopsie.).
Yeah.... Obama just couldn't handle the truth.
Patreaus is awesome. If he calls for an Afghan surge they will go ballistic.
What will Obams do ? Turn down the request from his hand picked General ?

That’s my fear. Could be he wants to damage the Petraeus “brand”.
My nephew was just commissioned in the USMC. In my card to him I said he’s getting in during a very, very rough time - when knowing the right thing to do and then doing it may be almost impossible - but that God would be with him in the middle of it.
I pray for wisdom for everyone in our military, and especially right now for the honest officers who are confronted by a president who (according to his own statements to the Egyptian ambassador) is hell-bent on accomplishing the Muslim agenda, which I understand to be Sharia and the destruction of Israel and the US.

I just called the white house and thanked Obama.. FOR THE LAUGH. General ‘Betray us’ put out by his buddies of moveon.org and the last 3 years of Obama, the Democrats, and Pelosi spewing ‘Bush’s failed Policies’, and it’s just what Obama did, too funny!!!

I would hope so. It really would be a Slap in Petreaus’ face if he was kept in that role.

What else was 0bama supposed to do? The military is supposed to be subordinate to the president, no matter who that happens to be. If the president had left such a general in place then it would have only emboldened more dissent from within.
McChrystal knew full well that what was said had the potential to end his career. 0bama did the right thing by relieiving him of command.
The Kenyan is weaving his teleprompter’s golden web of lies at this announcement. I’ll bet no questions will be taken by the lazy bones president. Too stressful for president JayZee
