Kagan Asked About Memo Changing Statement on Partial-Birth Abortion
Washington, DC -- Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan faced questions today about a memorandum she wrote during her time in the Clinton administration. The memo has Kagan altering the opinion of a major medical organization on partial-birth abortion, which it said was never medically necessary.
The memo is particularly concerning because it has her changing the opinion of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, which said it found no medical reason for a woman to have a partial-birth abortion.

If there was taxpayer funding for the project and she altered the finding 180 degrees is there a felony here?
Not for a liberal.
Interesting, seeing as how the commies were all about it being the seriousness of the charge and such crap.
ANY CHRISTIAN THAT VOTES FOR THIS DEMON IS TURNING HIS OR HER BACK ON JESUS... PERIOD!

Perhaps felony but certainly an intrusion of political agenda in what was praised as a politically free scientific research report.
The courts based opinions on what they were assured was a purely scientific report. They were not told that a highly charged left wing ideologue working for the White House had forced language into the report contradicting its scientific findings. The report stated that partial birth aboortion is never an appropriate means of preserving the life or health of the mother. Kagan forced the opposite language into the report.
That only applies to Republicans and Conservatives. The Dems control the media so there will be no outcry because it won't be reported.
Yes but she’s a liberal so it will be glossed over.
Kagan should be before the Federal bar, not the Senate, on contempt charges and Rule 11 Sanctions.
Amen and Amen!

Kagan at first tried to slip out of acknowledging the memo. Then she allowed as to how she had, actually, but only insofar as to clarify what ACOG really meant and more accurately reflect their findings—she certainly didn’t have the power to change their findings, and she wouldn’t have and she didn’t...Blah blah.
It was basically the same routine she pulled when asked about banning the military: She made up a bunch of crap yaddayadda about how up is down and down is up. She knows full well that all she has to do is dig in and not lose her cool or admit to anything. The excuses and explanations don’t even have to be remotely plausible. Just delivered with calm certitude. That’s all that’s needed for the press to give her cover and the leftist robots to vote to confirm. Piece of cake.
And she’s an ideological clone of 0bama,
so every disparaging word applied to her
applies to 0bama.

I agree. Anyone who voted for her should not be re-elected.
