"fair-minded Americans" should be disturbed... and rational people should be very afraid because, as The Times states, Kagan is "disrespectful toward existing law" (read: the Constitution).
And that makes Kagan a very dangerous nominee... and, for that reason alone, the American people must work to ensure that the Senate doesn’t rubber-stamp her confirmation.

Kagan is a politically motivated abuser-of-power (military recruiters thrown off Harvard campus while she was Dean of Law School).
Kagan is ignorant of the 14th Amendment — she just said she doesn’t believe Marriage should be left to the States.
Kagan has never served as a judge and she has only two-years experience as a lawyer in courts.
We’d know more if over 40,000 pages of records from the Clinton Massage Parlor Library weren’t held until just days before her confirmation hearing. That tells me there is much to hide.
Me too calling her sister Dyke, Mikulski, or Cardin is a waste of time.

They are all “your” senators regardless of where you come from when they are working on matters that effect you. Don’t let them give you the “constituent” line. The Oath of Office says nothing about states. Plus they take money and volunteers from out of their district and state. Stand up to these staffers. Tell ‘em you’ll donate time and effort if they give you any guff.
The only thing Republicans stand up to is to defeat the unemployment extension - not a smart move.

Good job with the fax! I tend to have fun, even though I’m mad, when I call them. I try not to take it out on staffers, unless they prove to be nasty like those who worked for Teddy Traitor Kennedy. He had the worst.

Wish it mattered, but when guys like Hatch and Graham keep stating the tired line that every president has the right to appoint who he wishes and then overall, the GOP refuses to use the filabuster against the these mominees the way they always use it against the Republicans, this no name, inexperienced, party hack will get just because of the numbers.
I agree, Hatch and Graham need to go. We need truly serious defenders of the Constitution who will put the “Consent” part of the language back into play. The Democrats played hardball, went out of their way to push for their agenda....against RINO wusses...and we still have too many of them in the way... a bunch of weasels, or at best, reeds blowing in the wind.
She is dangerous and probably the American people haven’t a clue as to what she represents. If she is Obama’s pick that is good enough for most of the gullible.
Opposing her is an absolute winner.
