House Democrats ‘Deem’ Faux $1.1 Trillion Budget ‘as Passed’
Human Events ^ | July 2, 2010 | Connie Hair

Last night, as part of a procedural vote on the emergency war supplemental bill, House Democrats attached a document that “deemed as passed” a non-existent $1.12 trillion budget. The execution of the “deeming” document allows Democrats to start spending money for Fiscal Year 2011 without the pesky constraints of a budget.

The procedural vote passed 215-210 with no Republicans voting in favor and 38 Democrats crossing the aisle to vote against deeming the faux budget resolution passed.

Never before -- since the creation of the Congressional budget process -- has the House failed to pass a budget, failed to propose a budget then deemed the non-existent budget as passed as a means to avoid a direct, recorded vote on a budget, but still allow Congress to spend taxpayer money.

House Budget Committee Ranking Member Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) warned this was the green light for Democrats to continue their out-of-control spending virtually unchecked.

“Facing a record deficit and a tidal wave of debt, House Democrats decided it was politically inconvenient to put forward a budget and account for their fiscal recklessness. With no priorities and no restraints, the spending, taxing, and borrowing will continue unchecked for the coming fiscal year,” Ryan said. “The so-called ‘budget enforcement resolution’ enforces no budget, but instead provides a green light for the Appropriators to continue spending, exacerbating our looming fiscal crisis.”

“The democrats are completely out of control and ignoring law as they see fit and nothing is done to stop them.”

Yes, and when the pendulum swings the other way, watch as the GOP goes lame, and reaches across the isle, in an effort to be bipartisan, while they block and filibuster everything we do.

I am so sick of spineless GOP’ers. Get on the TV, make a fuss, refuse to vote, camp out in congress, do all the slimy stuff they do! And then do it harder!

We are a one party system because the dems are the ONE party, and the GOP wants to be part of their party as well. GOP leadership is full of a bunch of morons who think they will be popular if they just “go with the flow”.

They remind me of the doofus you knew from gradeschool, who you could get to do anything, by telling him he’d be “cool” if he just did this or that. “Put this plaid suit on, all the girls love plaid”... “duyhhh OK!!!” all the while they are the laughingstock at the dance.

Its pathetic, and it makes my stomach ball up in a knot. This Kagan hearing is just another example.

One might predict that the American people would be up in arms over this.

You will get the amount of tyranny that you are willing to tolerate.

(sounds of crickets in the distance)

Alas, Americans are sheepish drones now.

I miss real Americans, I do.

Oh, and this is the test that will determine if this is how the government will be run from now on, BTW.

They can because we are letting them, and that’s the only reason. The ONLY thing that will stop them is armed revolution and they know that aint happenin’. In the meantime we can go eat dirt for all they care. I wish I could say what I really really want to say. But the sad fact is, we are under tyrannical rule and we the peasants are running scared. If only, if only....

Our biggest enemies are the MFM (aka the MSM, the LSM) and the educational system. I guaran-damn-tee you that the vast majority of people in the country don’t know about this. Even the ones who might have heard it in passing on the MFM Nightly Propaganda won’t understand the overwhelming significance of this, because they have been stupefied and brainwashed by their “education” and by The Drumbeat of the MFM. It’s hard to hard to have a popular uprising under those conditions. They say that in the American Revolutionary War only 1/3 of the population supported independence. I would be shocked if we could get any where close to that amount of support for an uprising to restore our government. The MFM and the Obama regime has already painted us as terrorists. What will happen when some real fireworks go off?

It’s time to draw the line and impeach, arrest, and throw these traitors to the U.S. Constitution and usurpers of power into jail.

Why dont’ they just ‘deem’ ANYTHING THEY WANT?

This is tyranny, pure and simple.

I truly hope that they serve jail time for attempting to defraud this country.

We the people deem all incumbents up for reelection as losing their seats. Furthermore we deem the DOE(Department of Education), EPA, FDA and the FCC as abolished since regulating education, the environment, Foods/Drugs and communications are not enumerated powers in Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution!

We the People also deem income taxes repealed as money is now just fabricated from thin air or borrowed from the Chinese anyway...

Maybe we can pick up enough seats in the next election and “deem” obama out of office.

And we could “deem” all the commie dems out, too.

These GOP morons are the most incompetent crop of blue blood country club degenerates in US history.

The Conservatives have no party. Relying on Lindsay Grahm, RINO McCain and the twin boobs of Maine??? We must dismantle the Federal nightmare or leave the union...

Why can’t the Republicans stop this?

Because we Republicans tend to elect low IQ goofs to public office while we are busy running the economy. Now... we don't have much of an economy to run and the goofs can't fight the bad guys. So the bad guys are destroying our wealth and our country. Simple, no?

Or, it could become hugely dangerous for Lame Duck critters to show up in Washington after November 7th...

I DO NOT advocate violence. EVER! Gandhi, Tutu, Havel and Rosa Parks changed the world by peaceful protest. Nobody needs to shoot anyone. EVER. All we need to do is start moving state governments to pack up and leave. Screw the Fedgov. Just ignore them. The States NOT THE GOP can save our freedoms. I live in a state with a constitution and that constitution guarantees me MORE freedoms than the Federal Constitution. We have liberals here too, but we know how to deal with them to preserve our freedoms. Look to the STATES for your freedom. As STATES we can fight the Federal disaster and we can win. THE GOP CAN'T DO IT. ONLY THE PEOPLE CAN DO IT. Revolt locally, overthrow globally!

The Republicans aren’t dumb. They just prefer the perks of power even as a minority to risking their sorry behinds for the good of the people. These are historic times and they are abdicating. The appropriate response to this dim maneuver is a complete Republican boycott of ALL House budget issues from this point forward. I want see empty chairs on tv while the dims railroad this “budget”. They need to 100% own this disgusting fiasco. What we got now from Republicans is a “loyal opposition” speech, no vote and then off to the club for a cocktail. Meanwhile the country burns.

I understand the sentiment, but really what can we do? If you throw so much as a wadded up tissue at one of them you will get arrested. The Government class is the “protected” class now. They have aimed at protecting themselves and their power from US, the people whom they are supposed to be serving.

I swear, we need to elect officials who will remove every DAMNED perk these rotten bastards have voted for themselves. Every one of them. Representatives in congress should HATE having to be there. The only reason to go is to serve the people, and get the hell out and back to their own private lives. THAT is what the founders intended.
