A little whitewash and Pennsylvania's taxpayer's connection to Climategate has disappeared. At least that's what the Penn State University administrators are hoping.
Penn State, which uses state appropriations for about 10 percent of its $2.5 billion budget, cleared Dr. Michael Mann of any scientific misconduct relating to the scandal.

So he picks research topics based on what is politically in vogue, gets money from political government sources to do his research, thus proving that the research results are correct?
That pretty much describes what is wrong in the world of Academia, doesn’t it? You couldn’t make this stuff up!
