VERY nice! We usually stay home and watch Boston Pops, but we ended up going to a relatives and watching fireworks and setting off our own. Grilled burgers and sat around the fire having s’mores!
How about you? Recover from your downhill roll with the grandkids? lol!
Late in the day we went to the local 4th celebration...watche dthe entertainment, ate festival food and watched the fireworks. Then I had to go to work, LOL!
I'm pretty tired.
I sorta recovered from rolling downhill...BTW my wife says she NEVER did anything like that when she was little but my friend backed me up. He couldn't believe she never rolled down the hills in the park.
Saturday my daughter had a birthday party for her two year old son, so we spent the afternoon there. Lots of people but I ended up watching the 2 year old and he likes to be chased. I must have done 2-hundred laps around the coffee table.
Almost as bad as rolling down the hill! Of course a couple hours after the party I had to go to work so like I said I'm pretty tired.
Wonder who is in today or if it will be a special or best of.

She NEVER rolled downhill?!!! When we lived in Coraopolis, we had friends who lived in an area called ‘the boulevard’. Steep yard. I remember all of us kids rolling down that hill! I have to give you credit - I wouldn’t try it now!
I’ll admit. We didn’t get to bed until almost midnight. I’m beat as well. Trying not to snooze as I type, in fact! I want to see if Q&R are in, and their take on the past weeks events! If not, well, I may end up snoozing on the couch!

I told my mom-in-law that I was thinking of getting a fake tattoo and nosering and showing up for work like that! I might just do it! My co-workers would fall off their chairs!
I’m known for playing tricks on folks.
The one with the chocolate donut even made it up to the commissioner’s office! Long story. Still talked about! LOL!!!

I didn't here any bombshells fro Hussein over the weekend. Kinda surprising. I was expecting SOMETHING that he woudld want buried.

Oh, and maybe something to do with the "rain of ashes" form the fireworks. That's one of the reasons some of my friends come in for the holiday. They call it "In Your Face Fireworks" because you leave covered in ash and sometimes burned!
A couple of hot ones landed near us last night but no one got hit.

I always look forward to Quinn’s talk about the Founding Father’s and what happened to all of them. Didn’t he usually play that for the 4th of July?
When we got back to my inlaws neighborhood last night, (we dropped them off), the whole place smelled like fireworks and lots of smoke. Geez, the entire neighborhood must have been setting them off!
Looks like Wife is here to get me. She could have stayed in bed but didn't want me to walk.

Bummer on the poor WGBH planning...they didn’t thin we would recognize Friday’s show? I am guessing this means Q/R will be in tomorrow?
P6 I grew up in Oakland and I remember rolling down Flagstaff Hill:) Would. NOT. Do. That. Now...you are brave (and athletic).
LOL on the temp tatt (and threats Sneakers!). Daughter is getting married in Fall (which is speeding towards us at breakneck speed) but she threatened her oldest bro...NO visible tatts w/the tux...and (as he usually buzzes his hair super short) she ‘wants him to have hair’ for the wedding photos.
So...the boys all ‘decided’ that I (me!) should get “something” airbrushed (arm, hand) a magnetic nose stud; and a short, sort wig (but she would recognize that right away) and ‘freak the bride to be out.’ So far, I haven’t agreed...but ya never know...
Our dog had a bad night. He does not like the explosions and made himself ill last night. We may have to investigate some sort of sedative for next year. My rowdy neighbors were tame; and other neighbors had a Zambelli quality display (had to spend a couple of thousand). It was impressive (but freaked our dog out).
Let’s keep our cyber fingers crossed that Q/R are back Tuesday.
