You will not see your taxes increased a single dime." - President Barack Obama
"[W]e have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy." - Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

...sadly, I doubt this story will ever see the light of day in the MSM
Title: Tommy
Author: Rudyard Kipling [More Titles by Kipling]
I went into a public-’ouse to get a pint o’ beer,
The publican ‘e up an’ sez, “We serve no red-coats here.”
The girls be’ind the bar they laughed an’ giggled fit to die,
I outs into the street again an’ to myself sez I:
O it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Tommy, go away”;
But it’s “Thank you, Mister Atkins”, when the band begins to play,
The band begins to play, my boys, the band begins to play,
O it’s “Thank you, Mister Atkins”, when the band begins to play.
I went into a theatre as sober as could be,
They gave a drunk civilian room, but ‘adn’t none for me;
They sent me to the gallery or round the music-’alls,
But when it comes to fightin’, Lord! they’ll shove me in the stalls!
For it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Tommy, wait outside”;
But it’s “Special train for Atkins” when the trooper’s on the tide,
The troopship’s on the tide, my boys, the troopship’s on the tide,
O it’s “Special train for Atkins” when the trooper’s on the tide.
Yes, makin’ mock o’ uniforms that guard you while you sleep
Is cheaper than them uniforms, an’ they’re starvation cheap;
An’ hustlin’ drunken soldiers when they’re goin’ large a bit
Is five times better business than paradin’ in full kit.
Then it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Tommy, ‘ow’s yer soul?”
But it’s “Thin red line of ‘eroes” when the drums begin to roll,
The drums begin to roll, my boys, the drums begin to roll,
O it’s “Thin red line of ‘eroes” when the drums begin to roll.
We aren’t no thin red ‘eroes, nor we aren’t no blackguards too,
But single men in barricks, most remarkable like you;
An’ if sometimes our conduck isn’t all your fancy paints,
Why, single men in barricks don’t grow into plaster saints;
While it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Tommy, fall be’ind”,
But it’s “Please to walk in front, sir”, when there’s trouble in the wind,
There’s trouble in the wind, my boys, there’s trouble in the wind,
O it’s “Please to walk in front, sir”, when there’s trouble in the wind.
You talk o’ better food for us, an’ schools, an’ fires, an’ all:
We’ll wait for extry rations if you treat us rational.
Don’t mess about the cook-room slops, but prove it to our face
The Widow’s Uniform is not the soldier-man’s disgrace.
For it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Chuck him out, the brute!”
But it’s “Saviour of ‘is country” when the guns begin to shoot;
An’ it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ anything you please;
An’ Tommy ain’t a bloomin’ fool — you bet that Tommy sees!
-THE END-
Rudyard Kipling’s poem: Tommy
Yep, this sob really ticks me off!
Those prosthetic, medical devices should be free and non taxable for the rest of the veterans lives if you ask me! The Federal government sent them to war, which is the reason why they need said devices!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don’t get me started, I really can’t take these jacka$$es anymore!
I didn’t even know about this, but not surprised that this kenyan klown would stoop this low.
Nothing has changed over time as cited in Reply #3.
The regime from Hell.
Its so disgusting..that all I do is get upset ..again and again.
I so hate that POS!!! More very day..if that is possible.
Hey, Obama has proved his capabilities and his conviction because he was elected as the most powerful person on earth and did so by making a promise so don't argue.
He dah man!
Thanks for “Tommy”, SandRat!
Health and taxes should never be mixed. Ever. Like tithes.
The same for clothing, food and the free press.
It's just wrong.
The man is just plain evil.
This is one stupid Kenyan.
Yes, the MSM has maintained a very low profile on this topic. Obamacare excluded the military from insurance but thanks to the VFW for a hard fought battle it finally was included.
The new medical-devices tax is expected to bring in $20 billion in revenues over the next ten years to help cover the cost of President Obamas health-care plan. The tax will be paid to the government by the manufacturers and importers of medical devices, but the Congressional Budget Office and Joint Committee on Taxation determined that those manufacturers and importers would simply pass the cost of the tax through to the consumers of their products by raising prices.
I hope the people who voted for this mistake are proud of themselves.
The purpose is to make life tougher for the handicapped.
The Democrats are all sociopaths and should be locked up for their own good ~ then tortured of course.
We will tax you in your hour of need. RATs disgust me.
prosthetics can be very costly. The taxes could be steep! how would an enlisted man be able to afford thousands for an artificial limb on the wages they make? yet, Obommie the commie and his family can get the best treatment in the world at Bethesda naval hospital...TAX FREE
Outrageous! we have absolute scum in DC
He hates the military, plain and simple. He expected our wounded vets to get dumped from the VA, suggesting that they get their injuries taken care of using private or employer (civilian job) paid health insurance. His excuse was that they signed up voluntarily for the job in the military (to him it’s just another job) and they knew the risks. If they got hurt by say an IED, then tough cookies. Even Senator Patty Murray called him out on this!
If we owe anyone, it’s our servicemen who have gone out and risked life and limb. Yet Zero stabs them in the back.
