Senator : Resolve eligibility in court
WND ^ | July 12, 2010 | WND

A Republican senator from Louisiana, David Vitter, is suggesting the dispute over Barack Obama's eligibility to be president be resolved in court.

"I support conservative legal organizations and others who would bring that to court," the Associated Press reported a video of the event revealed him saying.

Vitter becomes just the latest high-profile leader, and the first U.S. senator, to take such a strong stand on the issue.

It's also significant that the AP, which has stated publicly that the president's "birth certificate" has been made public even though the image of the document posted online actually is a "certification of live birth," which under Hawaiian procedures was available to those not born in the state, reported on Vitter's comments.

The congress will not and should not do it. The resolution they passed on McCain was outside the scope of their authority.

Congress has the power to establish a uniform rule of naturalization.

Only God can make a natural born citizen.

A uniform rule of naturalization does not define the constitutional term "natural born citizen." It would define how one becomes naturalized.

IIRC from 7th grade the constitution is interpretered by the supremes. The congress would have to add a definition or examples, which I didn't see in there. So whatever we had in 2008 in Nov, would be what the supremes would consider, not congress.

Hmm. I’ve thought since he was elected he wouldn’t last one term. I hope very much your prediction comes true.

Wouldn’t that be something that a Senator representing Louisiana would get revenge against Obama for his incompetent actions during the Oilspill that effected and ruined the states seafood industry and oil business. That should be enough for standing. Many were harmed.

A forgery won’t work. There are too many people involved who know the truth, and so many other records - hundreds or more - that also have to be forged, and indexes of those records, and copies in various locations, and on and on and on. That’s why every single paper from his entire life is off limits.

Plus records from other countries, passports, etc.

There is no way all of that can be forged. One forged birth certificate will be discovered to be forged by a high school researcher, if one should show up.

I always thought he was hiding something on the long form. Of late, I have started to doubt one exists.

I don't doubt that it exists, this has been stated several times by the officials of Hawaii. I want to see what is on it. I believe that, most likely, it will have an attached affidavit, signed by Obamas grandmother, stating that he was born in Hawaii. That is all that is required for him to be a legal U.S. citizen, in spite of the fact that other details in their overall story don't pan out, including the fact that neither of the two hospitals he was born in have any record of the event. You can't really prove or disprove the affidavit, because granny is dead.

The problem is, Obama said that he was born in a hospital in Hawaii. He lied (big surprise there). BUT, this is the type of lie that your average Jerry Springer, National Enquirer, Obama Voting Idiot might understand and have a problem with (I know, it's Bizzaro World to me too). To me, this has never been about removing him, it's about hurting him. It's just one more little way of doing that.

Arizona could simply add a Quo Warranto portion to their defense and demand to see by what authority the JD under the orders of Obastard has to sue them.

Arizona's got the big balls these days. I just wonder...

The Senator knows the courts won’t settle the issue and so his calling for conservatives to go to court rather than using his own power to make it happen shows he is not serious. He’s just another “how can I fool ‘em next” kinda political animal. These people make me sick.

Wow! That makes him the highest ranking official to question the birth certificate if i’m not mistaken. Everybody knows what’s going on here, but every is so scared to say it publicly. The very price of political correctness is the U.S. Constitution

What makes you say that? It would be great for America if that happened.

What!? You mean the Republicans don’t really give a damn about the constitution and are just using the issue to reel in ‘birther’ votes without having to put in any effort? Say it ain’t so!

“I predict within 45 days Obama will step down from office.”

Have you ever worn one of those sandwich boards that say, “The world will end tomorrow?”

Its a goal, we all need a goal, cannot win at football without a goalpost ya know!

Thats something else a lot of people have forgotten, how to set a goal, sure everyone says they have one but not a real one, a true goal is almost out of reach, requires patience and hard work and usually a lot of dedication.

We should really consider a time frame goal, seriously.

Or just continue complaining like a bunch of democrats with hangovers.

On page 26 in “Dreams...,” Obama writes:

“I discovered this article, folded away among my birth certificate and old vaccination forms, when I was in high school. It’s a short piece, with a photograph of him. No mention is made of my mother or me, and I’m left to wonder whether the omission was intentional on my father’s part, in anticipation of his long departure. Perhaps the reporter failed to ask personal questions, intimidated by my father’s imperious manner; or perhaps it was an editorial decision, not part of the simple story that they were looking for. I wonder, too, whether the omission caused a fight between my parents.”

Obama is refusing to release his long-form birth certificate for one of two reasons:

1. There is something on the document, or missing from the document, that Obama doesn’t want the American People to see.

2. There is no document, and the above passage is just another Obama fantasy.

There’s also this question — how did he get the driver’s license he had in Chicago and Massachusetts? He had to show a birth certificate to get a driver’s license, didn’t he?

He had to show a birth certificate to get a passport, didn’t he?

“folded away among my birth certificate and old vaccination forms,”

From where? Kenya?, UK?, Indonesia?, Canada? USA?, Mars?

I have come to believe that a USA b/c does not exsist. It’s human nature to want to prove somebody wrong and that nyou are as pure as the driven snow. I had a colleague who kept insisting there was a document to prove he was not the who screwed up...I’m still waiting a year later.

>He had to show a birth certificate to get a passport, didn’t he?

Not quite, as a senator he could have had one “rushed” to him bypassing the normal requirements and wait.

>There’s also this question — how did he get the driver’s license he had in Chicago and Massachusetts? He had to show a birth certificate to get a driver’s license, didn’t he?

How do illegal aliens get driver’s licenses? How do the politically connected get ‘authorization’ to carry in Chicago?

I don't doubt that it exists, this has been stated several times by the officials of Hawaii.

The language I have seen has been cagey ... (e.g. "I've confirmed he was born in HI.") I havent seen any of them claim to have seen the original long form, but perhaps I have missed something.

HI is a heavily RAT state. I wouldnt put much past the RAT officialdom there.

I'm no expert, but when I applied for a passport in the 60s, I didn't show anything like a long form. It was a small piece of paper I obtained for the occasion from the state with my parents names and a few other details. Very little info.
