Chuck Purgason began the filibuster at noon yesterday on the Monster of a "Tax Incentive" bill that would take 150 Million of Missouri taxpayer dollars and hand it over to Ford Motor Company.
The battle was joined by Senators Bartle and Goodman and is still ongoing.

Purgason has spent the evening alternating talking to other lawmakers, reading emails of encouragement from all over the state, reading from books, even reading the lyrics to the Beverly Hillbillies theme song.
The “Show Me” state... the spirit is alive and well, as common sense is demanding to be shown why ford should get the privilege of a bailout while other businesses struggle. Of course we all know the answer... the Auto union and democrats. Democrats feed those who keep them in power and starve those who would throw them out. Classism at its worst... if you belong to a union, you rate first class, if you don’t, tough poo poo.
Second car I ever owned was a Ford Filibuster. Had nothing but problems with the ignition system. Traded it in on a Pontiac Blowhard when I graduated college.
