I thought that name rang a bell. From a few months ago...
In Wake Of Goldman Scandal, Unions Push For Expansion Of Martin Act
Under current New York law, only the Attorney General has the power to sue investment firms under the act. But the legislation introduced last June by Assembly Member Richard Brodsky and State Sen. Eric Schneiderman would allow groups of institutional investors of over 500 people a six-year statute of limitations to sue for alleged wrongdoing using the Martin Act.

The damaged cars owner, Melissa Rabinovich, an executive editor for NY1, said it had $3,000 in damage: a cracked bumper, a damaged back panel and a cracked left taillight. She filed a police report and called Mr. Schneidermans office on Tuesday after tracing the license plate, which a witness had noted.
He said he was sorry for the bump to my car, and I told him it wasnt a bump, Ms. Rabinovich said. He went on to explain to me that the female who was driving the car was crying and he was sorry. I told him I was crying when I saw the damage.
I have three children under 7, including a 4-year-old who is severely disabled and doesnt walk. This minivan is our lifeline of transportation for him.
In a statement, James Freedland, a spokesman for the senator, disputed the seriousness. For New York 1 to call this a hit and run is nothing short of outrageous, he said.
He said that Ms. Kagan merely bumped Ms. Rabinovichs minivan and that the senator had no idea any damage had occurred. He has spoken with the owner of the other vehicle, expressed his sincere apology and offered to pay for all repairs, he said.

And I’ve got a question: If the car fled the scene, how do the cops know who was in the car and/or behind the wheel?

NY1 said the Upper West Side Democrat was a passenger in a car driven by a staffer who sideswiped a vehicle parked in front of her on Ninth Avenue Monday night and pulled away without leaving a note. The staffer was identified as Rachel Kagan, 22-year-old niece of US Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan. In other words, dispite the misleading headline, the DRIVER is the one liable and is Kagan's neice.

For New York 1 to call this a hit and run is nothing short of outrageous, he said. Oh for goodness sake!
You hit, you left. Hit and run. Get used to it.

He lives on Manhattans Upper West Side with his seventeen-year old daughter Catherine. Maybe he hired 22-year-old Rachel Kagan so he could learn how to relate to his daughter.
Or not....

$3000 worth of damage is a hard enough hit to know you hit the car. I would imagine that would be more than a simple tire scuff mark...lol

I have scanned over 40 articles about this creep and still haven't seen a party affiliation. So am I correct that he is a Dem?

As Spock’s dad might say, “law enforcement in New York is a unique point of view, Mister President”.
