Let me help you. Cox is a Dick. That is from inside sources. And there is the Detroit thing with Kwami hanging over his head. Hoekstra is proven and 100% from the NRA Snyder got all his degrees from U of M. The Liberal strong hold. I think he is pro abortion. Hope it helps

“Granholm says the new jobs demonstrate the need for federal and state investment in private industry.”

Only a Marxist would hold this point of view.

“Cox is a Dick.”

I wholeheartedly agree. I have interacted with his brother and all that family cares about is POWER!

One thing you never hear about is battery-swapping stations.
Charge a farm of batteries along the highway with ? windpower, and drivers pull over to swap out.

Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm says

"In five years you're going to be blown away!"

you honestly do not know what you are talking about. Elecrtic car are far more efficient when all costs are considered. The total taxation for one gallon of gas is about one third....which is a lot for sure. You just are really misinformed.

Yeah....right!

And the unions will promptly cause them to be lost just like last time.

Will they never learn???

What are you, like 13 years old? You think I'm misinformed? I've done very well for myself as a senior engineer among other career jobs, and did it by being very well informed. I've worked on cars as a hobby for almost 50 years, and currently have 3 vintage cars that I restored. I also own stock in auto companies and keep current on what they are researching.

So, what are your qualifications other than drinking kool-aid?

I never meant that we would do away with oil altogether but it does indeed need good competition which has been subverted for greed reasons. It takes very little research to see that the cost for electric car usage is far below gasoline cars. Think about it...after all of the exploration, extraction, refining, etc...then all of the lost efficiency in even the best mpg cars...compared to the incredibly efficient and vastly simpler, ...almost no maintenance costs...of the electric car...simple electric charge up which can be gotten from existing plants and hopefully new nuclear plants that can be built...and you are telling me that you know so much, that gas cars are less expensive! Come on now! You are not talking to a 13 year old!

One thing you never hear about is battery-swapping stations.

There was a pilot program going on in Honolulu, Hawaii. Nissan was interested initially but abandoned this concept as unworkable. Reasons are that batteries are rapidly evolving, and a static carrier case for swapping would limit use of newer batteries. The main company pushing battery swapping is Better Place.

One car I find interesting is the Deka Revolt. It is a hybrid electric car that uses a Stirling engine to generate electricity to power auxilliary devices and to recharge the battery pack. A friend of mine (recently passed on) was an inventer and had several patents on Stirling engine designs. These show great promise, as they can burn multiple types of fuel without harm to the engine. I've experimented with these engines running on various fuels including solar and they're amazing. But - gasoline engines are still better at this point of time and for the foreseeable future.
