I wonder how many people felt this way when Russia was taken over by the commies?
I don’t have enough history to know if things were bad under the Czar but did he starve 30 million people to death? (or was it 45)

None of the Czars killed as many people in as short of a period of time as the Communists did in the Ukraine in the 1930s.
However, even ordinary life under the Czars was very bad: most people were serfs or slaves until 1861, and there was no freedom of movement for these people.
After the "emancipation" in 1861 when many of these people were able to acquire land, however, they were subjected to making enormous annual payments for that land, and many (probably most) of the peasants didn't receive plots big enough to make a living.
That looks like the symbol on the back of the new penny.

Elections, and the vote upon which they depend, are the bedrock of
democracy. They are the principal way the people of this country hold our
government leaders to account, and exercise our collective will. But we can
do that successfully only if all of those entitled to vote are able to do so, and
if all those votes are counted equally. And we can have confidence that the
outcome of an election represents our will only if we have confidence in the
process that produces that outcome.
Seems like we have been infiltrated.
These things are accumulating on a daily, sometimes hourly, basis until I’ve become numb to them. The ability to be shocked has eroded like a stone on which water drips at a continual pace. I think that’s part of their plan.
