Carly Fiorina, 55, has been contending with chemotherapy and radiation treatments and reconstructive surgery because of breast cancer, so she is understandably undaunted by the relatively minor challenge of winning a U.S. Senate seat in this state that last elected a freshman Republican senator in 1982, that has not supported a Republican presidential candidate since 1988, and that has not elected a right-to-life candidate in statewide voting since 1998. This race will test the power of the rising Republican wave.
Fiorina might surf it from here to Capitol Hill because her opponent, Barbara Boxer, 69, is the Senates fiercest liberal, and California is an intensely unhappy laboratory for liberalismhigh taxes, opulent entitlements, thick regulations, and subservience to government employees unions.

Excellent post!!
Until 20 years ago or so, Southern California was very conservative, while the north was well known for its basket cases. Now the south has been overrun.
Thanks justiceseeker93.
Good, handy, referrable, snapshop picture of how ruined California really is.
I remember when it was the most beautiful, most God-gifted, most majestic and exciting can-do state in the Union. Now huge swaths of it are like a public toilet.
As for Boxer vs Fiorina? I wouldn’t care if Fiorina was a dentally decomposing meth addict who picked her nose. I’d vote for her just to have the pleasure of giving Boxer a roundhouse smack that collapses her right through the ropes.
If Boxer wins its because the CA GOP put up an absolute JOKE as their candidate, pure and simple.

I was there 1976-2006
1976 Heaven on earth
2006 Hell on earth
